  Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(4 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> Hi all, presenting my take on an Antonov An-28 in USSR era Aeroflot colours (and requesite sheep). I'm pretty pleased with how it all turned out and wish the photos did it better justice. If it's not clear from the pics (...)   Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Nice plane Tim!! I like how you captured the leading edge of the wing so well. Not easy to do in Lego for sure. Could you please work on an An-124 or An-224 in this same scale next please? ;-) (...) I think the sheep help convey this plane's (...) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

Thanks and no :) --snip-- (...) No. I misspelt it ;) Tim PS. Post sent to .off-topic.fun to make it clear to the sergeant that this is a joke. (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Sometimes, Tim, I'm not sure what impresses me more about your MOCs - the sheer quantity you produce, or the amazing quality of them. And quality can overwhelms on this occassion. If this was all you produced in 2007, I would still regard you (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Thanks Timmy, that is just so funny. What a great source of really good jokes you are. That one had to take a long time for you to think up. Jay Leno watch out. Funny Timmy is on the loose. John P (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX) !

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

Once again, excelent work, You really love your russia gear. (...) Have you thought about using train weights in the nose of the aircraft to balance the weight? The should be small enough to not effect the design Aaron A (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Glad I amused you so much. Spotlighted! Thanks for sharing. Tim (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Tim, Simply another great MOC that showcases your talent. Thanks for sharing. You may want to try and place a 'Boat Weight 2 x 6 x 2' (73090b) near the nose as a counterbalance. (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Timmy: It seems like we do not play well together. Let's take the high road. Stop snipping at me and I will stop snipping at you. We must be boring others and we both have better things to do with our time. John P (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) John, That seems like good advice, though I'd be more inclined to believe you meant it if you addressed Tim as "Tim", the name he clearly prefers to be called, rather than "Timmy". Best regards Richie Dulin (I've left this in o-t.fun, but (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Have you considered using plane weights? ;-) That is a great, great model Tim (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Hi Tim, You're gifted. Yes that's also work (practising) that makes you such a talented builder. (...) You misspelt requesite, I mispronounce ship, everyone goes home happy... (...) Planes are made to fly, no need for them to stay on their (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Richie: I am serious about our playground fights. I do call him Timmy (from South Park) and will not anymore. I did this because of his derisive use of “sergeant.” Anyone that was a soldier will know the real meaning of this rank (actually I (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

--snip-- (...) I will be more than happy to, sergeant. Tim (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

--snip-- (...) Pretty sure you called me Timmy first but it really is unimportant. (...) And I'm a Doctor if you want to be precise but I've never gone on about it like you have about your rank. (...) This is the main reason I wanted to respond. I (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Oh suuure...spotlight him but not me :-( Remember, if you aren't part of the solution, then you're part of the problem (precipitate for you chemistry geeks :-)) (1) (1) I have no idea why that sounds applicable, but it sounded good when I (...)   Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Actually, there are Real World times when planes have to have their tails propped up to keep the nose gear on the ground. Below for instance is a row of KC-135 aerial tankers: (URL) (Warning - large file size) You can see the poles below the (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

--snip-- Thanks. (and to everyone else too) (...) Hehehehe I like this thinking. In response to those suggesting the weight brick: I tried a couple of motors but they weren't heavy enough to keep it nose heavy.I don't have a weight brick but I (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Ooh good find. I think one of the pictures I found of an Antonov undergoing engine maintence also had extra struts at the back (maybe one engine isn't enough to rebalance it). Tim (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) I did not go on about, but did not hide the fact. I mention it in my Lugnet page. I mention it and do not feel any need to hide it. I also have never mentioned what by graduate degrees are in. As for you being a doctor, so are my kids. My (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

--snip-- (...) I never denied it. Unlike you I'm usually aware of when I am or am not being rude. (...) No. Most would understand the difference. It takes a special sort of brain not to see the difference. The kind of brain that would also do (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) "Timmy" jab aside, I would expect that "taking the high road" would be along the lines of "I will not respond to your jabs anymore, regardless of what you say." Stopping only after he stops is hardly what I would consider "the high road." As (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

(...) I was not going to respond, but I never wrote that email. It is either made up or someone hi jacked my name for that. I have nothing against the French, hell they helped us win our first war. Maybe someone did what others did when they made a (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Why would someone impersonate you? Near as I can tell, you posted a bare handful of times prior to 2006, and the email Terry pasted was written in a very similar style and signed the same way you sign your posts. Not only that, but (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

Tim, You're one of the very most prominent builders on Lugnet these days, thanks for sharing yet again. Very cool to see these aircraft of yours, especially since you have knack for trying out aircraft that others haven't built in LEGO before, or (...) (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)
