  4032 Japan Airlines Promotional Set

Hi all, Well we've seen/heard about the El AL, SAS, and Iberia versions of this plane. Recently I found out about the same plane for Japan Airlines! I actually viewed the set on JAL's website (talking about the duty free items) but now I can't seem (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: The Buccaneer Bowl

  Re: The Buccaneer Bowl

(...) There is much to like in this MOC... I think I liked the ship murals the best. I don't think I've seen such a good pirate/town blend in a long time, if ever. Lots of great little vignettes and sight gags. I thought the "dead men tell no tales" (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Slope Parts Selection (was Re: Information on Set 4886)

(...) But they still make the slopes in red (which is available now, if looking hard) but we still need them in black, as black seems to have replaced blue as the "second" roof color. And I am still a bit irritated by the fact, that there is only (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Slope Parts Selection (was Re: Information on Set 4886)

(...) I notice that in this set, the Lego set designers have found the need for internal corner slopes. They also seem to have used more 2x4 slopes than 2x2. Truly remarkable. Why weren't these designers involved in the design of the recent slope (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.lego, FTX) !

  Re: Information on Set 4886

(...) This is the thread you seek: (URL) The set number was yet unknown at the time this thread develloped, this explains your difficulty locating it. In the first message you'll find a link to a picture from a retailers cataloge, including the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Information on Set 4886

  Re: Next Legend re-release

(...) At least the hinged things SEEM to be the older style 5 finger (car roof) hinges rather than click hinges. But I wonder if this is a photo from the older artwork, perhaps retouched, rather than from the newer. If they switch this over to click (...)   Why so many scowling minifig faces in the new town sets?

I bought 7034 last week (great set!) but couldn't help but notice how so many policemen of these new town sets have angry faces. What's wrong with smiley faces? Did one of Lego's "focus group" determined that children didn't like happy faces? Or an (...) (20 years ago, 4-Sep-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: lighting wish-list?

(...) Well, my wish list is pretty mundane: 1) A string of Xmas lights based on 1x1 round plates (coloured transparent ones). A wire linking them is not a problem as it would make the lights look more authentic. Blinking as an option would be cool. (...) (20 years ago, 1-Sep-04, to lugnet.town)
