  1656 any sightings???

I seen one of these selling on e-bay, but was amazed how high it went for. I went for almost $100. This is a truly rare set, and I wish I had bought it when I was younger. I remember the toy store that sold it...at the local shopping mall, very (...) (24 years ago, 18-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

Interesting designed building...I wish you could have taken shots of how you put the monorail through the hotel...did you make a "sub station" that passengers could embark/disembark from the hotel onto the monorail...if not that could be (...)   Re: rolling garage doors from fire stations etc( was fire stations)

(...) Interesting follow-up. I only have 1 each of: 6382, 6385, 6389, and 6561. I am trying to get another 6561 (flame fighters) so I can combine the two flame fighters together and have an amazing downtown fire headquarters, but at the moment, I (...) (24 years ago, 18-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: fire stations

I think he means he bought the Blaze Brigade for $10. I bought one for $30 - it was MISB from E-bay last year, and another one six months ago that had been missing pieces for $15. $10 isn't bad, but it is typical for sets like this. Not too bad for (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: fire stations; continuation of Lego Town

I guess that's the real messed up about the whole situation. I think I agree with you that Juniorization should be stopped, and that no one should buy these sets, and I think Lego knows the general position of AFOL's, and that is why they stopped (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: fire stations

OK, Time for my 0.02 worth. I agree with Jeff and Will both. For the longest time, when the 6554 was introduced, I refused to get it because of the Town Jr situation. I guess the 6571 set spoiled me (I now own 11 copies) I ended up buying one (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: fire stations

Ben, Dope! I thought I wrote them down correctly, let's see if I can get it now. Should have known better to respond so late to something. Oh well, wait a second, I know what I did, I did not list sets individually. All right, let's try it now: (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: fire stations

(...) Well, I may buy some of the new stations if I can ever find them at deep discount (like 75% of :-) But I won't ever be station complete either. Any Town Jr stations I buy will be for PARTS ONLY! Will Bricksburg Fire and Rescue: (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: fire stations

  Re: Town set 1472

Searching the database I came up with 6388 - Holiday Home. I'm pretty certain this is what you've got. Perhaps in Europe we had different set numbers? Interestingly though, on the Lugnet page for 6388 it is down as being released in 1989. Again I'd (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)

  Town set 1472

I acquired a set today with number 1472. I did not find it in the Lugnet Database. According to the box it dates from 1987. It has about 200-250 pieces. In it are a small house with a yellow roof (similar to the vacation hideaway, but on a much (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)
