I seen one of these selling on e-bay, but was amazed how high it went
for. I went for almost $100. This is a truly rare set, and I wish
I had bought it when I was younger. I remember the toy store that sold
it...at the local shopping mall, very small but had a lot of rare sets...
too bad it went out of business long ago.
I was wondering if any body has seen this sets - I don't think anybody will
want to part with these any time soon. Just a pleasant dream if I could
buy it from someone.
Anyways, also related to this set. Does anybody have this set or personally
know anybody who has it??? I think this set retailed for just over $20.

Again, a rare and popular set (a bad combination) and a set that I'd
like very much to add to my collection along with a couple copies of
4549 Road n Rail Hauler (love the mobile cranes, the over-sized cargo
train cars, and the beautiful tractor trailers!!)

| I have just received a MISB copy of set 1656 from a seller in The Netherlands. Be prepared to pay 70 plus for a great set that never made it to this part of the world back in 1991. Grahame (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.town)
