  town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

In my previous post, I displayed my contempt for The Lego Group for not putting out any new Town sets (1st time in over 20 years for them - 1st town sets came out officially in 1979!!) I am still very upset at them for not putting out any new sets, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) There has apparently been a different, weirder merger. Town has merged with Adventurers to become Studios. So, what should be included in the 2002 "Studio Town" range? More cops will be a given, don't have to ask for it. Some Hollywood (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) Interesting concept there, I wasn't thinking about that at all. Personally, I don't mind any of the adventure themes. I loved the Egyptian theme (plenty of pieces), Jungle (loved the ruins, and Dino- Island isn't bad either (a bit too much of (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

This is going to be long... Emergency Services: I would like to see a full compliment of emergency services vehicles and buildings; fire station, hospital and police station. The buildings shouldn't be as grandiose as the most recent monster police (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

You know with the Lego Group, they'll always churn out an emergency type set out every year in the town theme. That is a given...Fire Fighter's HQ and lift truck (circa 2000) were the last sets out in the "emergency sub-theme"... its probably time (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

Modularisation I think has to be the way forward, so that a small set can function perfectly on its own, but when combined with a larger set provides enhanced playability. Designing sub-ranges that link together like the examples you site (including (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) I'd love that, but I'd also like them to merge town and space--a Future City 2050 kind of thing. Lots of domes and future-looking buildings--an Art Deco/metropolic look would be really cool! Lots of curved pieces; a return of the curved pieces (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

"Peter F. Guenther" <pguenthe@zdnetonebox.com> wrote in message news:G7Kuvu.38B@lugnet.com... (...) City (...) return (...) That is such a cool idea! Imagine a 'Back to the Future 2' or 'Demolition Man' style environment. Alternatively, looking (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) Well I know I may be a little late putting this out, but I would just love it if Lego would put out a line of realistic NASA lego sets. I've only got the six Launch Command sets(not including the accesories package), and that only gives me one (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) I wouldn't call what you are saying griping....if anything, I'm the one griping....no new town sets this year (yet) and a bunch of non-standard sets....the only thing half-way interesting, and not yet ready for selling (in my opinion) is the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

(...) Not bad, nicholas My view on that is that you could combine a Dacta Hospital set (not too sure of the set number) with a 6378? Emergency Treatment Center and have yourself at least a 3 floor hospital with ER, OR, a couple of recovery wards, a (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)
