how did I miss that?!
Yep, I've tried it now; I attached 8462 wheels to them, and it works a treat
- 2 pulleys makes sure there's no play.
The problem is that, even with the wheels fitted as inboard as possible,
flipped so that the track is narrower (like the front axles of 8462), the
pivot position is still about 2 studs inside the inner edge of the wheel
when viewed from above, so the wheels will tend to 'swing' in an arc when
steered.
