If anyone is interested in the tech specs of the 60s GP cars I talked about, try
the following link.  If you click on 'Lotus 49 Special', there is a good
description of the front suspension setup:

"On the front bulkhead of the monocoque a tubular steel subframe carries the
front suspension and the steering rack and pinion, the suspension being by upper
rocking levers operating inboard coil-spring/damper units, and lower wishbone
members in what is now an almost universal layout"

Enjoy!

Fredrik,

In fact, some of the 60's Grand Prix cars used a front suspension set-up
where the upper suspension arm was cantilevered, ie the arm extended inwards
from the inner pivot, and the spring was then attached below this.  Although
not quite the same as your linkage setup, it is similar.  So your model is
not so unrealistic after all!

Oh, by the way, I've also spent a great deal of time poring over your models
in the past, looking forward to the next one!

Cheers,
