If anyone is interested in the tech specs of the 60s GP cars I talked about, try
the following link. If you click on 'Lotus 49 Special', there is a good
description of the front suspension setup:
"On the front bulkhead of the monocoque a tubular steel subframe carries the
front suspension and the steering rack and pinion, the suspension being by upper
rocking levers operating inboard coil-spring/damper units, and lower wishbone
members in what is now an almost universal layout"

| (...) images to look at. I simply built it from my childhood memories of some small motorized cars I had. (What's the name of those again? The cars that go around in laps, and the only thing you can conrol is the speed. I know the Norwegian name of (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)

| Fredrik, In fact, some of the 60's Grand Prix cars used a front suspension set-up where the upper suspension arm was cantilevered, ie the arm extended inwards from the inner pivot, and the spring was then attached below this. Although not quite the (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)
