| | Hi all, I noticed that the box for the <set:8860> car chassis has a scissors lift. The scans of the instructions on brickshelf: (URL) do not have any instructions for the scisssors lift. Was there a second book in the box or was this just a (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | (...) I've got two copies, one of which which I got for Christmas in the year of release. Both use 'Shock Absorber 6.5l's. | | | | | | Hi I have 3 copies of the 8860 and i believe that they all use the grey taps - but i have MISB 8860 in the attic somewhere, so i will have a look for it tonight and to see if it has the chrome ones on? The one I have had for since I was a kid (I think its 20 years old?) had the lt grey taps, but several people I have talked to had the crome ones (one guy was from canada). Maybe the sets (...) | | | | | Are you sure about that?? When I bought the 8480 Space Shuttle back when it came out, on page 53, instruction 32, they slipped a correction sheet in it. Notice that the opposite mirror in the lower subassembly is fine and in fact it's the same as the upper one (instead of being a mirror image) except for the hole. Perhaps that's a clue as to (...)
