  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) Thanks Olivier, stickers were something I had avoided in the past but I am now a firm convert to their use, at least for permanent models, and I have no intention of breaking this one down! I thought the hook lift army truck on your web site (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

I just watched the videos and the DAT files: really impressive! The chassis is just packed with gears. I really like the way you positionned the motors in the chassis. I need to lean to slow down when building my models. I get about half-way done, (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

Jennifer, Excellent model...when do you start work at LEGO designing their kits!!! I also want to know how I can get a hold of one of those remote control kits? ===== Steven B. Combs, M.S.,C.I.T.   Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) Thanks! Even if I can't model the real thing exactly, I try to put the parts that are semi-equivalent in similar places to achieve some of the more subtle visual and mechanical (such as weight and centre of gravity) effects of the real thing. (...) John Barnes, who frequently posts on lugnet.robotics, is responsible for the design of the remote control. Hopefully he'll come onto this thread to respond, but if not you can email him at barnes@sensors.com Jennifer (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) I do indeed have multiple versions of various parts of the model, and the number of attempts needed varies considerably. I probably need about 3 to 8 steps for relatively simple parts, but this will increase if, for example, there are other (...) (23 years ago, 3-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

This is very much my approach I'll try a way, and exhaust its possibilities before attacking the problem from another direction, sometimes working backwords, destroying earlier solutions that worked just fine before. This was particularly true of my (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) The tinkering is probably the best bit though, if it were too easy then it would be no fun. Jennifer (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) Sounds intriguing, although I most strongly disagree with the notion that there are no more construction vehicles to make - but then, I would :-) Jennifer (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) I have to disagree with Tom as well, Since the rejuvination of my lego building (I never had a dark ages :-)). A lot of my inspiration comes from books about excavators.
