  Re: Pre Dark Age MOC's

Hi Jennifer, In lugnet.technic, Jennifer Clark writes: There is a mobile crane in the background of one of the pictures; would I be right in thinking it has a three section telescoping boom? Oh yes, absolutly. My crane-fascination begun very (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pre Dark Age MOC's

Holger, thanks for posting these MOC's of yours from the past. At the time of their creation, you were 13 years old. I am very impressed with your talent. Seeing how large your old collection must be from these older creations, and knowing now that (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Improving Mindstorms R2???

(...) Actually, being the huge Star Wars geek I am, I don't think R2 ever zaps Yoda... All he does is grab at the lamp with his arm. He DOES zap an Ewok in ROTJ though... he also uses a small buzz-saw to cut through a net that they get trapped in... (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pre Dark Age MOC's

Wow, you had a hell lot of lego for a 13 year old teen, and apparently you had a well developed building ability to deserve that much lego..:-) Very nice models, even for an adult. I have pictures of one of my pre dark age MOCS, too. Look at here (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

I wouldn't have said so; while Dennis Bosman certainly seems to have the large truck side of things sorted out, and I am able to make reasonably competent facsimilies of Technic figure scale construction machinery, there is certainly more to (...)   Re: Improving Mindstorms R2???

(...) I think it was in the "Dagobah System", no doubt mispelled. I remember that bit in the movie too; I like it when Yoda starts hitting R2D2 with a stick. They were arguing over a small torch or something :-) Jennifer Clark (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

(...) From a technical point of view, I think the US truck is the best, but my favourite has to be the blue and red tipper, simply because I prefer the appearance of European trucks.   Re: Improving Mindstorms R2???

I'm working a few of these ideas, but basically I was annoyed at how *SMALL* it was (the DDK) so I've started making a "life" sized R2 simmilar to Eric Harshburger's and the one at Legoland, but this won't be a static sculpture. The head will turn, (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

(...) about it. Dennis' crane is truly incredible - I am humbled. Dennis and Jennifer have set the bar so high, (fifteen feet?!?) that I can't help but feel like there's no point even trying with MOC. SRC StRuCtures - only about a third the size of (...)   Improving Mindstorms R2???

I just nabbed a second copy of the Mindstorms Droid Developer Kit[1], and I've been thinking about how to make a better R2, and what the functions should be.   Re: Tower crane (WAS: Adjustable 4 wheel steering)
