Hi Jennifer,
In lugnet.technic, Jennifer Clark writes:
There is a mobile crane in the background of one of the
pictures; would I be right in thinking it has a three section telescoping boom?
Oh yes, absolutly. My crane-fascination begun very early... I bought the
Technic crane from a friend and extended it a "bit". The #8848 wheels are used
and a 4 wheel steering was put inside the understructure.
The superstructure is the same than the real Lego model, using my two old 4,5V
motors as counterweights! And the boom is a three section telescoping boom! But
the last 2 wide section just could have been pulled out by winding a little
wheel at the end of sec. 2. Section 1 and 2 are the same as in the Lego 8??,
each 2 studs wider.
I check, if I could find some better crane pictures...
Greetings,
Holger
