Yep, I agree. I actually don't but technic anymore just for the reason that these beam pieces are not LEGO enough. The main pieces they use are the L-shaped studless beam mentioned above. They also use way too many rods and those giant molded (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Is there any news on real technic sets yet? I don't see those create n race things or any other decent sets in the scans that are available now. To me those Roboriders, Slizers and what have you are all transformers that happen to use the odd LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

That's essentially how I see them. The Stormtrooper will be a great source of white Technic parts and C3P-0 has some interesting gold parts and gold decorated tiles.
