When I called S@H yesterday to (finally) order dozens of the 5235 Technic beam pack, I discovered to my horror that it was permanently out of stock. These days, if I see an official Lego model that looks great or appears to work well, my inclination is to download the instructions from Brickshelf and build it from my existing parts. Sometimes one has to improvise a bit, or resort to cunning use (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

One of the older Technic kits that has shown up on my radar is the 1992 Airtech Claw Rig 8868. Feedback from set owners is good in that both people who claim ownership mention it as one of their favorites. The problem with getting ahold of one is (...) (25 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)
