(...) another new one is 8279, 4 WD X-Track (URL) looks like it uses the motor from 5221, but otherwise it's pretty nice. The 8307 Turbo Racer is also listed now, but without a description.   Re: www.lego.com has been updated...

Thanks Christian. I notice right away from reading the description of the 8279 4WD X-Track, that it (almost certainly) uses the same chassis found in set 5221 Motorized Base Pack. This is a bit disappointing. I was not expecting too much from the (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8458 Formula 1 Racer at Lego.com

(...) Does anyone know anything about the actual functionality of the model, eg no. of gears etc. It strikes me that technic sets are becoming less technical, with less moving parts and fuctionality.   Re: Roboriders Game

(...) Ah, the pit droid nose. I guess, if you really want to count that one. The thing that really surprised me is that there is a different mold for each wheel character. Especially since there are 16 characters. (25 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Roboriders Game

Speaking of the Robo Rider wheels, has anyone else pondered just how they do all those molds? AFAIK, these are the first pieces where different types/colors or the same part have actually variations in their "shape". As for collecting all 128, now (...)   Re: Roboriders Game

Hi Ray, No, 129 is what I counted. You've probably missed the green one in #8000, that's a talsiman wheel as well, although it's of course not listed anywhere. So, you're actually correct, it's only 128 of them to collect, but ... well. Bye, (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Another pneumatic compressor and pressure switch designs

(...) I've used two of the little pumps in conjunction with two Air Tanks.   Re: Another pneumatic compressor and pressure switch designs

I've seen lots of designs but none have enough power, air-wise. I need pressure and volume! I made a good one once using two of the large spring loaded pumps.
