  8448 Supercar mods

I was inspired by Jeff Boen in this thread: ttp://www.lugnet.com...ad/?n=3888 to modify my 8448 Supercar. Here's what I did: 1. swap out all 13 red #12 axles for black (I only did this to steal the red axles for another project but it looks pretty (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Gluing broken bricks

I have used with success (This is a US Brand, but read on) Loctite 495. This is a "professional" type of Cyanoacrylate glue, AKA Superglue in America. Go to your hobbyshop and get a high quality Cyanoacrylate, as the Discount store variety is not (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  a bit of a description of 8279 "4-WD X-Track"

After asking S@H about some Technic release dates (8457, 8458 - August 18; 8279 - August 21), I asked if they had any sort of description of 8279. Oddly enough, they do: (I guess S@H is the only place that does?) 456 (I think) parts, $70-something, (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Gluing broken bricks

I read in a previous posting that the writer felt it was wrong to use a glue that disolves the plastic material. I believe that that is an incorrect statement. I have been using MEK based glue to attach bricks to each other for a while now. You need (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Gluing broken bricks

Since LEGO is made of ABS I have purchased a can of ABS plumbing pipe adhesive. I have not yet tried it, but have read to use it sparingly as an excess could cause warpage. Dave (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Gluing broken bricks

I've heard of varying results with the kind of plastic cement that is used to glue plastic models together. But do test any cement you buy on a small part of LEGO you can afford to lose before you start glueing pieces together with it. If the cement (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Gluing broken bricks

Hello, I have just bought a box of used technic lego. Some of the studs (16x1) was broken so I wondered if it was possible to glue them together again, and what type of glue should I use. I live in Denmark, so try not to specify special american (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Roboriders Game

They arrived today. Interesting about the black and transparent red wheels. Are these extra colors for no reason or do they foreshadow two more RoboRiders? I'm only counting 128 possible wheels, was 129 a typo or is there something I don't know? (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

looking for 2x4 grey pneumatic brick

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a spare 2x4 grey pneumatic valve brick used in the older pneumatic sets. I recently got a set that is missing this one piece. Does anyone have this piece and would be willing to sell it? Thanks, Michael (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

Another pneumatic compressor and pressure switch designs

I have built another pneumatic compressor and pressure switch; I believe both are improvements on the previous designs. The compressor is full-stroke, double-pump, uses the new 9v motor and is rather small; the pressure switch is similar to Ralph (...)   Technica 3.19 update

Hi: I dont normally post updates about my site ...but tonight I am feeling abnormal. I have finally added technic wheels (tires/hubs) and an overview of tire dimensions to the element registry. This took only 3.5 years for me to finally do it. I (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Roboriders Game

(...) I just ordered some wheels from shop-at-home, they haven't arrived yet. I don't know yet if I'm going to bother collecting every color variation of each different character. Getting one of each of the Throwbot discs is pain enough. But if lots (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)
