Hi Billy,
As CSSoh points out, there are a few simple diagrams here on page 5 and 6 that
might help clarify hydraulics for you. One thing we're missing is pressure
regulation.

| (...) I think that we can make a simple pressure regulator using a piston, a single switch, and rubber bands. The piston is mechanically linked to the switch. Rubber bands compress the piston.
