  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

Is that price right? $6499? Or should that be, maybe, $64.99...? Just wondering, not criticizing, yah? I don't have a super-car, so I don't count anyhow ;-) -Shiri (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO Pneumatics

I just ordered some pneumatics from S@H and Michael is correct that the 5110 set is discontinued and they do still have 5108 pistons. I also got several 5117 compressor pump kits. No mention was made that 5117 would be discontinued. Dave (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

Wow, Henry! I'm really impressed by your CR-X (I have two friends that have CR- Xs [affectionately called 'slot cars', due to their remarkable traction at speed]). The detail you have here is amazing; I can't wait to see your NSX. -Cheese (...) (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

(...) Supercar? (...) Hopping up my real car is bad enough. Now i have to tweak my lego ones as well? This could get expensive. I realy like the design. Cale (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO Pneumatics

(...) Hi all I just thought I would let everyone know if you don't already. Lego is no longer producing service packs for pneumatic parts. I guess that would mean no more pneumatic technic sets. The last place to get parts is pitsco. They cost much (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LEGO Pneumatics (compressor application)

That is a great site for basic set-up, but what about a compressor application. What are the ways of establishing an electrical/mechanical means of operation? (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

Cool! Now you need an appearance package: - low profile wheels from the 8848 - the smaller technic shocks (for lowering the ride height) - some ground effects (maybe using some body panels like in the 8448, but in black) - a coffee-can sized muffler (...)   Re: Black rubber bands in old sets... any replacement source?

Try Pitsco. The Dacta string and rubber band service pack has exact bands from the 951 Bulldozer, as well as others. Lots of sizes, and real Lego stuff! Eric Thomas D Fulk Jr wrote in message ... (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

(...) Cool! The way you modelled the turbo, intake, and exhaust couldn't have been done better in such a small package, IMO. Tell me, are the intercoolers air-to-water, or air-to-air? :-) While on the subject of cars, here is a Honda CR-X I built (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic)

  LEGO Pneumatics

Could someone please explain the basic components of the pneumatic system parts? I am rather confused by the parts, and I've seen no FAQ or tutorial. Also, how can they be integrated into the LEGO Mindstorms kits, if at all? I think that I've seen (...) (25 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Black rubber bands in old sets... any replacement source?

If you can deal with a non-LEGO solution <shudders>, you should be able to pick up a large variety of 'o' rings at your local hardware store. Surely one of the sizes available will fit your application. Build On! John Matthews (used to work in a (...) (25 years ago, 23-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic)
