no doubt it is
i thought thin liftarm with piston vents inside axleholes
could join pistons better (stronger)
but wide liftarm is a very good solution
when new pistons were planned and we just had some poor pictures of 8455
i've been thinking how they will be joined together
my hope was TLC will get the lesson from older pistons (with 2x2 brick)
but as we can see they didn't
maybe they could change a little bit the desing of the piston :)))
if pistons could have axleholes instead of pinholes
or maybe piston should have both
one side pinhole
other side axlehole
hmm... ?

| (...) I think I'd be worried that bending forces when operating the cylinders could cause the thin liftarm to snap the inlet. At least with the wide liftarm, the forces would be carried by a substantially larger area, and with the hose also (...) (21 years ago, 18-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)
