Yes, they fit perfectly

if yes then maybe the rest of vent will stick out enough to still join the tube

Unfortunately no, the pneumatic tube is very loose on the remaining part of the
vent :(

Of course if you could use the thin liftarm it would be better, but I think the
wide liftarm is also an elegant solution :)
