  Re: Launcher?

Hi Greg, You can google "lego gun" to get info a couple of projects. Additionally, check out (URL) favourite, but his home page is donw). I realize it is not exactly what you are looking for, but it might help. Cheers, Miguel Agullo (URL) (23 years ago, 25-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Launcher?

(...) Never tried, but it might be worth experimenting with the shock absorbers. Put a few of them together on the job, with some kind of trigger, and I reckon you could get a fair bit of power. Especially the ones in the silver champion. But more (...) (23 years ago, 25-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: a question about the bionicle comics

(...) Yeah, I got one. I think it's an infected card. I don't really care, though, I don't collect the ccg cards. (23 years ago, 25-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Launcher?

I'd like to know if anyone has ever built a Lego apparatus that launches things. I am interested in any devices that can flig a weight of up to one pound about 6 inches in the air. If this has ever been done, I'd really like to know how. If it (...) (23 years ago, 24-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Straightening technic tubing?

Hello all, (...) tube (...) How about these technic bricks 1 x 2 with hole. You can put them thru these. Probably they will not end up straight but atleast not bend. Of course you have to leave it a couple of days to rest... Greetings Maico Arts (23 years ago, 24-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Straightening technic tubing?

One thing I would suggest trying (on a tube you can afford to loose!) is to put a piece of wire (or whatever) in the tube, and then put it in a sunny place for a day. Somewhere like a well lit window-sill. Allow it to cool by itself at the end of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

a question about the bionicle comics

  Re: Straightening technic tubing?

(...) They are hollow, so you could insert a straigt wire of a more rigid material, maybe a thin type of knitting needle (the ones used for socks, pointed at both ends) Maybe it even helps to let a tube reinfored this way rest for a couple of days.   Re: Straightening technic tubing?

(...) and (...) and (...) Ok, here's what I do :-) You are correct in saying these things are almost never straight, in fact I think the key to their use is to assume that they will *never* be straight. Look at them as splines with the only means (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

hazards of heavy lifting (Re: Crawler Crane MOC)

(...) Yes, be very careful! The ideal condition that a crane builder wants is that upon maximum load, the crane starts to tip over rather than break. When the crane starts to tip, you can immediately stop the lift and all is saved. However, if (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic)
