One thing I would suggest trying (on a tube you can afford to loose!) is to
put a piece of wire (or whatever) in the tube, and then put it in a sunny
place for a day. Somewhere like a well lit window-sill. Allow it to cool by
itself at the end of the day.
This works well for flattening warped LPs. I put them between two pieces of
plate glass and then put it in the sun for a couple of days. The slow
heating and cooling seems to work.

They are hollow, so you could insert a straigt wire of a more rigid material, maybe a thin type of knitting needle (the ones used for socks, pointed at both ends) Maybe it even helps to let a tube reinfored this way rest for a couple of days.
