  Flex cable option?

A lot of my older Technic sets like the 8856 Rescue Helicopter that used the flex cable system are showing some real problems. Many have heard this problem before and getting supplements in the USA isn't easy without putting down some bucks. One (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Flexible drive shafts UK?

(...) If you are asking about the parts that have white axel peices on the ends and the plastic coated flexi-wire in the middle, then they are Znap, (a Lego product). Znap was only availible everywhere but the U.S. until about a year ago. Lego (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Flexible drive shafts UK?

Are these Knex parts? What sets have them and any guesses on availability in the UK? Cheers Robin (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

I have infact made Lvl 2 Toas, most featureiong articulated necks similar to those you described(but with STF flair). I should be able to get some pics of them for u all to see very soon...just hang on (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  worm gear question

When calcuating gear ratios etc, how many teeth should I say the worm gear has for the purposes of ratio calculation? (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Comment about Bionickle Colors

(...) In the CGI movies Lego made of the Toa the CG models have a lot more joints than the actual toys do. I think the same models were used to make the package pictures. It seems reasonable to me, to get the arms and legs to actually be fexible (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  The Great Redini Was Correct!

New colors have appeared! There are 3 shades of orange in (URL) (the floating head at (URL) said that the new colors could be found found at Bionicle.com, and I think they were!   Re: scanning for new parts

(...) That is a very nice idea...it would really help to know exactly what you're buying. People would not be forced to find a parts inventory list or head for Brickshelf to see what elements the set comes with. Looks like the 8465 and 8466 will (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Comment about Bionickle Colors

Hey Y'all: Okay, so once I finally saw one of these Bionickle cannisters cracked open and strewn about the shelf of a local store I got curious to own one. Some of the parts did actually look interesting in terms of expanding my teeny collection of (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: scanning for new parts

What I would like Lego to do is make more pictures and descriptions available. How much would it cost them to post a few more pictures of 8466 (and others, too) on the Net or simply put more text descriptions? We could get a better look at the beast (...)   Re: scanning for new parts

You're right, it does look like the 32186 of the 8448! When I look closely at the main photo, I can see some bevel gears, but it's not clear enough if they are within a diff housing above a 16 tooth gear and did something like what was done to the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: RIS 2.0

  Re: scanning for new parts

(...) I was looking at the front suspension of the new 4x4 set, 8466. It's supposed to be full 4-wheel drive so the front wheels must be driven and steerable. In the catalog, I can see a yellow piece that looks like: (URL) number: 32186 Is it this (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) That's great, Simon! I hope all of our comments and input were constructive enough. Your final revision of the letter was not too long, hit some very important points, and certainly made a good argument that Lego is a better "building system". (...)   scanning for new parts

I received the new S@H catalog the other day, and, as usual, browsed the photos of all the new stuff looking for evidence of new parts - especially ones with a Technic bias/use. I am intrigued by the photo of 8538. First of all, there is an (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)
