Re: Binary Pneumatic addition with two pistons

(...) Well, yes. Technic pins can be removed or added by hand, but that doesn't seem very practical for ram that is supposed to be readable *AND* writeable by the computer. (...) Cool. My wife just shakes her head muttering something about marrying (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Pictures and NEW BRICKS from 8455 Backhoe Loader and 8454 firetruck

(...) I think it is too. I like the yellow color a lot. I think I'll get myself two - one for parts and the other just to build and display. The firetruck is also cool. Just have to have one. I can hardly wait until they are released over here. If (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Supercar Opinion Poll

If TLG ever produces a new Supercar, what do you want/not want TLG to put into it? (As in features, drivetrain style, steering, etc.) The reason I ask is the release of the 8455 Front End Loader, which caused me to wonder when/if TLG makes a new (...)   Re: Binary Pneumatic addition with two pistons

(...) Using a vaccume was possible with old lego pneumatics, but positive pressure is always used with new LEGO. (...) You got that right. (...) Pins should be removable or addable. were you thinking of just sliding the axles? (...) My wife is very (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Picture from 8455 Backhoe Loader inventory

(...) Everything that is uploaded has to be "approved" first, before it is shown to the public. Now this approval is just to see if the pictures are Lego-related and are okay to be viewed by everybody, including children. When you add one picture (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Picture from 8455 Backhoe Loader inventory

(...) I don't understand how brickshelf work. But wait 30 min. then i think it will work... Kim Andersen (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Picture from 8455 Backhoe Loader inventory

(...) The link doesn't seem to work! It takes me to a page that says "This folder has not yet been made public." Can someone explain this? I have to see the pics! Max (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC Differtimento

(...) Hi Philo, Thanks. I tried to balance bulk and modularity, but I would love to see someone come up with a simpler, more compact version. As far as practical applications for the design go, I can clearly imagine a vehicle with panoramic (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.cad)

Re: Binary Pneumatic addition with two pistons

(...) Not exactly... Like you, I was assuming that the position of the cylinders would be the input, but I was thinking of using just the airflow directly as an output rather than the position of another switch. As long as the cylinders are made so (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MOC Differtimento

Hi Miguel, Very interesting conception, superb instructions! I need to try that one... (...) Good luck ;o) Philo www.philohome.com PS: (URL) and (URL) links are broken (the first should be baseins.html) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.technic, lugnet.cad)

Re: Variable Speed, reversible pneumatic engine

(...) Hi Jason, I'm glad you like the engine. I'm not really into engines. I was just trying to satisfy Paul Kreig's desire to have a reversible engine, and it struck me that a differential was an easy mechanical way to do it. I love differentials. (...)   Re: Binary Pneumatic addition with two pistons

(...) Hi Mark, (...) I've maded two pneumatic adding machines ((URL) and I can attest that it works quite well. With LEGO Pneumatics, the pistons are double acting. They have a port to make them expand as well as port to make them contract. This is (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Pictures and NEW BRICKS from 8455 Backhoe Loader and 8454 firetruck

(...) Well you should cut get in your nearst LEGOLAND park..., and it should come on S@H in a few weeks... ;-) I agree with you, we need to "Get back to basic". But you can always do like this: (URL) Andersen (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Binary Pneumatic addition with two pistons

(...) Hey Kevin. Big fan here. I'm not sure if anyone has ever observed this before, but if one is only ever wants the pneumatic switch to be at one of the two extreme ends, it appears as if the LEGO pneumatic switches behave exactly like electrical (...)   Re: Variable Speed, reversible pneumatic engine

(...) works, but now I get it. For anyone else who's lost, here's how I understand it: The casing of the differential is held still by the gear in the clear box. This means that the input shaft from the pistons comes in, turns the inner differential (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

Re: Pictures and NEW BRICKS from 8455 Backhoe Loader and 8454 firetruck

(...) There is no airtank, but if you take out the engine, you may put an air tank in there... That's the good thing about LEGO, you can do what you want... Kim Andersen (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Inventor stuff

Haven't posted in a while. Just bought a couple of 4094. Had to take a look :) I like the general idea. Full 4x4 stud receptacles on the underside of the motors really sticks them down well compared to the "regular" geared motor. Compatible height (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Pictures and NEW BRICKS from 8455 Backhoe Loader and 8454 firetruck

(...) Wow, where/when can I get one of these sets? It's as if all the other ideas I had for my 8862 set but never got round to implementing have been brought to light. I especially like the pneumatic rotation of the backhoe - mine used a horribly (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic)
