I've been using plastic re-sealable tubs about the size of a shoe box
(stackable) that I get from Target for the figs - usually seperated by
theme.  For the accessories I use the mini-tubs from Ziploc that you can
find at the supermarket.  They come in several sizes but I've settled on a
fairly square one and a half-height of the same size so they stack well.
I've found that they seem to do the job reasonably well.

I usually break it down to headgear, neckwear, weapons (though I put quivers
in here instead of neckwear), handheld stuff that aren't military, shields,
treasure, banners and flags, shields.  If something looks too jumbled, I
just break it down into smaller containers (helmets, hats, wigs, for
example, in three containers).

How do you guys store minifigs and their accessories?

I've gone through various stages of storage methods, but i've yet to find a
fantastic solution :/

right now i'm at the:

1 full blue tub of figs - no hair, no helmets, no flippers, just heads, torsos
and legs.

1 full blue tub of accessories, some sorted into snack or sandwich bags...
1 gallon bag of helmets (no hair, no visors) hats included.
snack bags:  hair, cups, goblets, air tanks (various types), suitcases,
katanas, swords and cutlasses, etc etc etc.

this doesn't seem to be a very good solution.. but plano type boxes weren't
large enough - and there's too many (no such thing, really) different
accessories.

anyone find a good solution?
