How do you guys store minifigs and their accessories?

actually, I store my figs in a slightly different way than you, but in
almost the exact same categories or sorting methods.  The only way we differ
is that I use a 40 bin parts case from target instead of baggies for all the
accessories.  Each type of accessory gets a tray (ie all optical devices:
cameras, binoculars, magnifying glasses, etc go together).  The heads,
torsos, Legs, and head coverings each have their own 12 gallon box, and I
put all the wigs in a baggie and store then with the head coverings.

I was putting some custom figs together last night, and the only thing I can
think of that would improve it would be to find a way to sort the torsos out
better.  I have thought of sorting them by base color or by theme, but
either way has limitations so I have waited to do it.

what way do you want to improve your sorting?

cheers!

I've gone through various stages of storage methods, but i've yet to find a
fantastic solution :/

right now i'm at the:

1 full blue tub of figs - no hair, no helmets, no flippers, just heads, torsos
and legs.

1 full blue tub of accessories, some sorted into snack or sandwich bags...
1 gallon bag of helmets (no hair, no visors) hats included.
snack bags:  hair, cups, goblets, air tanks (various types), suitcases,
katanas, swords and cutlasses, etc etc etc.

this doesn't seem to be a very good solution.. but plano type boxes weren't
large enough - and there's too many (no such thing, really) different
accessories.

anyone find a good solution?
