I don't think the issue of tilt shift causing wear is one worthy of
consideration unless it's the only consideration. That said, I could
argue that under certain working conditions, there would actually be
less shifting with a tilt system. But I'm hesitant to comment without
watching your building procedures. I'd really need to know more about
how/where you work.

*Extremely* unlikely. I've worked with their setup and I'd actually have
to call it a "tray system" (as opposed to a tilt-bin or storage drawer
system). TLC's labs are designed with specific building styles in mind.
I believe many other factors take higher priority there.

No one should have a system that requires (or allows?) drawers to be
opened hundreds of times a day. That sort of thing is easily avoided.

| I'm curious about drawer vs tiltbin storage for wear on Lego. I realize that there are personal preference issues here as well, but I'm mainly curious about the effect of tilt bins on Lego itself. Every time you open a tilt bin up, a few of the top (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.storage)
