  Plano in the UK

Looking at this group Plano storage seems to be the answer to my Technic Storage issues. Does anyone know of a supplier in the UK, preferably London. Mark (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Good lightweight shelving for display?

Thanks for the info Kevin and Larry! They look just about perfect for my needs. Any opinions on the narrow vs. wide shelves? I'm thinking narrow shelves would be good for most things, while the wide shelves would be good for large sets (bases, etc). (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

Re: REALLY long-term storage (>30 years)?

Well, ABS can´t rust, but I´ve heard about mildew, so a dry place would be good. I just keep my pieces in the boxes, but.... I have no experience from "century-storage". I think that removing all the batteries and such is good, as well as keeping (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Wohoo!!! Sorted it all!

I have found out about sorting by function. I do like this: All the hinges, 1*1 clips, 1*1 tile etc. are split up in groups, so that all 1*1 clips are in one group, in a color mix. Then, all the bigger bricks like 2*4 I sort by colour. This works (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

Call me a ditto head. I've had Ivar for 5 years and just keep getting more. One thing I did that I wish I hadn't... I used a very nice stain, but then did not put a wear surface shellac on it... now the stain shows the original pine through where it (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Good lightweight shelving for display?

Does anyone know of good, lightweight shelving that works well for displaying assembled sets (and possibly boxes and directions)?   Re: Wohoo!!! Sorted it all!

I tend to think that too much sorting is counter-productive. If you have one tray for every possible kind of part and colour, there's gonna be far too many trays for you to lay out before you can even begin building. On the other hand, if you put (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)
