Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Jeff Johnston
(...) On the other hand, I don't think either of those leap to a kids mind as "what kind of toy should I get". Look instead for vehicles that played an actual role in the films... We can still hope for an Imperial Year (but I wouldn't place any (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Bryan Hodges
From what I understand the Shadows of the Empire line from Kenner actually sold fairly well... not as well as the rest of the SW line mind you, but still pretty well. An Imperial year would be nice... there are so many cool Imperial ships we haven't (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Jason Fabisch
Don't fret, we will get Storm Troopers. How though, no one will know. The figure is in the StarWars system logo as is Boba Fett. And we got Boba Fett. And soon we will get the emperor too(which we have all seen). You can pretty much assume that we (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Josh Opotzner
(...) Actually, 2001 *will* be the Imperial year. Sorry, I don't have a bookmark to it, but I remember there was an interview with somebody from Lego. He said that it'd be the Imperial year, and when asked if we would get stormtroopers, he said (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Steve Bliss
(...) How about a $20 set that can includes sufficient pieces (and instructions) for making either the TIE Fighter or TIE Intercepter? That'd be way cool and flexible. Steve (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Eric Kingsley
(...) Cool yes. Happen never. I don't think TLC would ever do it just because they would make more money releasing them as separate sets. Along some similar lines though I have been thinking that if I had 2 UCS TIE Interceptor sets I could build all (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Greg Majewski
(...) Cool idea, kind of like a "TIE Fighter Bucket?" Come to think of it, It would be cool to have an Imperial Bucket with half a dozen Sotrm Troopers, Vader, Palpatine, and a whole slew of pieces that lend themselves well to Imperial vessels. I (...)          Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Alan Gerber
(...) I'm pretty sure you mean ask LEGO at fbtb, whose link you may see at the main Star Wars newsgroup page. Alan (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Jeff Jardine
(...) Definitely a good point. That's why I doubt a $50 Imperial Shuttle will be produced. It's not recognizable enough to warrant such a high price tag. This is a guess, but I think it's recognition would be comparable to that of the A-wing or (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Bryan Hodges
(...) The Shuttle is just a really cool ship! I think that kids will want it just because it looks cool. And, IMO, The Shuttle is highly recognizable as a SW ship. I admit that I am a "collector" but I loved the shuttle even before I became one. The (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Matt Sekerak
(...) I must agree that the Imperial Shuttle is highly recognizable, I would go as far as to say it is an icon of ROTJ. A light grey set in the $75-$100 range would be super sweet...complete with folding wings (of course) and Han, Luke and Leia in (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Mark Sandlin
(...) as (...) Han, Luke (...) NO!!! I want that thing crammed full of Imperial Guards, man! I'm sick to death of all the Luke figs. Bah. ~Mark (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Steve Bliss
(...) Nah, it's not an icon. All they (the main characters) do is sit in the cockpit and casually fly around. Compare that with the Speeder Bikes, the AT-ST's, which were right in the thick of the action. These vehicles made a connection to the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Ever since I was 8 years old my favorite scene in the trilogy was the one where the Emporer lands on the death star. If lego make an Imperial shuttle it better NOT be shuttle 'Tyderium' (Tyderium is that specific shuttle's name) filled with (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ok, lets play this again, what sets should we see in November —Jason Fabisch
I have yet to see Lego make a fig and then not place him in a major set. Sure, the Emperor is on the SW system logo, and now he is in a little 3 fig pack. But he will probably be in a set. And what is the only set anyone can really think of him (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)
