Thanks for the info, Scott!  BTW: I just saw a little blurb about LEGO
actually making money last year (I think...  almost played out like it
was just a commercial) on CNN Headline.  Anyway, some takes on the Q&A:

"SSG: The fans have been asking about figures-only sets, like the Ninja
and Rock Raiders series.  Will we ever see this type of thing, maybe
including tougher-to-find figures like Darth Vader and Boba Fett?
LEGO: We are looking into it..."

Not very encouraging, but sounds like they are at least concidering it
(I'd rather have Battle Droid, Droid, Stromtrooper variations, and
random rebel packs than ANY main characters).

"SSG: Will there be any more Lego Star Wars aliens with
custom-molded alien heads (like the Jar Jar figure) or custom-molded
bodies?
LEGO:  Not at this time. "

Great!!!

"SSG: Will we be seeing Lego Stormtroopers soon?
LEGO: Possibly in 2001. "

Semi-encouraging.  They might at least have prototypes already, as well
as possible sets for them.

"SSG: In some of the other Lego lines, there are lower-priced sets at
the $2.50 to $3.99 range, such as the recent Ninja Samurai on Horse
for around $3.50.  Is there any possibility of seeing something like
this
for the Star Wars line, perhaps a "Luke Skywalker on Tauntaun"-type
set, something with no frills?
LEGO: Very possible in 2001. "

Read:  Yes there will be.  Any guesses as to what, and if they might be
any useful?

"SSG: Can we expect more Lego Imperial vehicle sets from the classic
trilogy in the future?
LEGO: Yes, in 2001. "

Exactly!  Wait, sorry, excellent!  :)  C'mon T/F and T/I...  Oh, and
AT-ST and/or AT-AT...  if no AT-AT then a Lamba-class shuttle as the big
set of the year (drool...).

"SSG: Will Lego be doing any Lego Star Wars creatures such as the
Tauntaun or Jabba the Hutt?
LEGO: Very possible in 2001. "

Guesses: Tauntaun 1-piece.  What do you think the liklyhood of Jabba
is?  1-piece (probably :p) or build 'em?

"SSG: Will Lego retire any of the Lego Star Wars sets in the future, and
if so, when will customers no longer have access to them?
LEGO: There are no plans to retire sets at this time. "

Uh, so they will still make '99 sets for a while?  But I've seen reports
of them on clearance...

Sorry I was so long.  Here's a treat (sort of), had a great LEGO find
dream last night.  Found a place with some old things...  well, not so
interesting, but it was to me.  ;)  I've had a lot of these dreams...
strange, I've never had it happen (not sets THAT old) and I don't think
about it...  :)

(...) I think that Target cleared out some of them, but apparently Target often clears out a lot of large LEGO sets post-Xmas, whether they're going out of production or not. J (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Well we know they have manufactured some - they were shown at that Japanese Toy Fair - I was impressed by the likeness. Carbon 60 (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)
