Parents were annoyed with Jar Jar also. My three year old doesn't even like
him.

I thought the new movie was rather disappointing. I believe one reason the
classic sets sell better can be partly attibuted to how many generation have
grown up with the Classic Star Wars. I saw the first episode when I was a
pre-teen and have fond memories.
In Idaho the new sets (2000) are disappearing off the shelves rather
quickly. I am just waiting for them to go on sale. I think most of the sets
look great this year, except for poor Jar Jar and his Buddy.

| (...) I have to agree with Christian on this one. Although I have no facts to justify it I think the Classics sets probably sold extremely well and that is why LEGO had such a hard time keeping up. I would not be supprised if the EP1 stuff did not (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)
