Where did you here that the Millenium Falcon had been confirmed for a 2000 release. I just called TLG on Friday and they told me that NO new Star Wars sets have been announced. NOTHING from the 2000 product line has been announced. They did say that (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Snip (...) Oh I can only hope!! More classic please with lots of Storm Troopers. I just hope that whoever it was that influenced the sets from Lucas Arts is still on the job influancing TLG so that the model quality remains as high as it has been (...)       (...) not (...) Amen to that! I want Stormtroopers, Han, Chewie, Leia, and Boba Fett! It'll be interesting to see if they decide to make minifigs for less prominent characters, such as Nien Numb. I wonder what his head would look like? Dave (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Eric Kingsley wrote in message ... (...) I Enjoyed the movie (Ep1), but the Lego sets do not compare to the classic sets. The classic crafts had that rough look to them that our friendly studs re-create pretty well. With all the sleek rounded (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I don't know if it was just me, to some degree, some of the SW classic sets had this ... *feel* that they were designed a while ago and only updated lately. Like the landspeeder. As if the designer had something like this floating around for a (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Reply to "New Star Wars LEGO" —David Eaton
(...) Could be due to the fact that they had more to go on for the classic stuff... All that stuff has been well documented for years... Also, if they had the contract to design SW sets long before Episode I came out, the Episode I stuff might have (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

I would asume that the desingers at lego have been working unofficaly if not officaly on starwars style desings. The probably just found the new ep1 as the perfect opertunity to culminate them and ride the hype like every one else. Obviously they (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I agree. after all EP1 has a different logo, and no duplicated minifigs. Isn't that the distinction, after all? Ben Gatrelle PS don't look at the Adventurers' logo(s), and don't start the "is R2-D2 a minifig" discussion back up again! :-P (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Reply to "New Star Wars LEGO" —Kya Morden
(...) Exactly ^_^ (...) Adventurers have logos? (While I have a few adventurers sets, I only have them for the pieces, plan to make a museum one of these days.) As for R2, it's not human. ^_^ Kya (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
