Just got back from TRU . . . —Jonathan Little
I just got back from TRU. I'm really surprised at how large the turnout was. I expected a decent number of people, but this equalled the crowds that I've seen though on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, I have a TRU within a 5 minute walk of my house . . (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —Roger Connor
Just got back from my midnight foray from TRU and only came up w/ Pod Race, Sub, Duel, and Droid Fighter. The manager said that was all they had. Went by Walmart right afterwards, and they had the action figures out but no Lego. (...) seen (...) a (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —Frank Filz
I'm a little bit longer than just got back from TRU (I just finished building the Droid Fighter...) My TRU (Cary NC) had the Duel, Droid Fighter, Gungan Sub, Naboo Fighter, and the Pod Racer Set (missing the Sith Fighter and Anakin's Pod Racer). (...)      Same story here, just got back from TRU an picked up the Duel, Droid Fighter, Gungan Sub, Naboo Fighter and the large Pod Racer set. The manager knew nothing about the Sith fighter and Anakin's Pod racer sets...very, very crowded though. (...) -- (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —John Neal
Hmmm I'm sensing a pattern. I, too, just returned from 2 different TRUs (Bloomington and Burnsville) and found no Anakin's Pod racers, and only 1 Sith fighter (which Larry P quickly snatched up:-/) Most were there for the <shudder> non-Lego stuff (...)          Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —Scott Edward Sanburn
Yes, it was crazy. At the Ann Arbor TRU, there must have been 200 people. Fortunately, the Lego's were located right next to the entrance aisle, so I was out of there by 12:26AM, but I somehow forgot to get the sub set. UGH! I did get the duel, the (...)          Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —Larry Pieniazek
OK, I guess the question then is, has ANYONE seen Anakin's pod racer or bought it? Since I got two copies of all the others (except Naboo Swamp, if there is such a thing, same question, has anyone bought it?) I have the contents of that set via Mos (...)          Re: Just got back from TRU . . . —Mike Zinkowsky
I picked up Anakin's Pod (and the rest of the sets except mos espa) on Saturday at a small local store. It's a nice set, and I like having another R2.        I just got the Naboo swamp set at Target...very picked over Star Wars lego collection in their own Star Wars section.        Probably because that's the closest they could get to the color they were in the movie. Looking at the trailers, many of the larger and/or battle droids appear to be a "rusty brown" color.
