Just got back from TRU . . .

I just got back from TRU. I'm really surprised at how large the turnout was. I
expected a decent number of people, but this equalled the crowds that I've seen
though on Christmas Eve.
Fortunately, I have a TRU within a 5 minute walk of my house . . . made going a
lot easier. I only found three of the sets (duel, gungan sub, pod race). I
don't know if I just missed the other four or what. It took me ten minutes to
find these three. They didn't have them in the regular aisles. They were also
mixed in with the eps 4-6, which TRU didn't put out until tonight.
I'm going out on a hunt tomorrow, to check out some of the dept. stores and
such that didn't open at midnight, to see if I can capture the other three sets
(I don't think I'm buying Anakin's pod racer, seeing as how it's included in
the pod race set). Wish me luck!

PS I work at a bookstore, and flipped through some of the books we got in.
There's a really good shot of the Sith Infilitrator, but it doesn't look
anything like the Lego one . . . not even close. The Naboo fighter is even a
bit off. The "real" one is quite a bit longer, proportionate to the wings than
the lego one.

| Just got back from my midnight foray from TRU and only came up w/ Pod Race, Sub, Duel, and Droid Fighter. The manager said that was all they had. Went by Walmart right afterwards, and they had the action figures out but no Lego. (...) seen (...) a (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
