Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Dave Low
Standout has to be set 7139 Ewok Attack. Best value non-figpack figpack in the range. Cool pieces include the stormie and scout, two Stubbies(c), hang-glider wings and half a tree's worth of brown bricks. Ewok head-piece may be the crummiest effort (...)         Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Mark Sandlin
(...) Amen, brutha. Or they could have at least put a TPCC *pilot* in the TPCC (...) ... and that's why they're so expensive. ;^) (...) Me too! The Star Wars line has been the best thing for parts in the last few years, IMO. (23 years ago, 9-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —A. Mark Wilburn
(...) I hope Billy Dee Williams himself goes down to LEGO and demands they make a minifig of him. And what about LEGO's precious excuse for not including the more minor characters that we'd actually want to see (Wedge Antilles, Mon Mothma, Greedo, (...)          Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Steve Bliss
(...) Actually, Harry Potter does have (some) ethnic diversity. Just not in the major characters. If everyone in the movie is white, there's a problem. But I doubt we'll see any minifigs of the non-white characters, unless they release a "Gryffindor (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Mike Petrucelli
(...) I am quite confused. Why is it that most people think it is okay for 'white' people to be made yellow but not 'black' people? I personally belive either everyone should be proper flesh tones or everyone should be yellow. Why is it okay for a (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Richard Noeckel
(...) I agree. But, take for example… The Simpson’s White people are Yellow. Black people are black. I guess yellow is just taken as an extension of white. A brighter more vivid color for children to respond to. Perhaps white peoples color (Pink, (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Mark Chittenden
According to Lego Mania Magazine, Dec 2001 issue: "Why are LEGO mini-figures yellow?" "Okay, the truth is that back in 1972 the LEGO Company asked kids what color they thought mini-figures should be and they said yellow." (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Dave Schuler
(...) Interesting, but what does it mean? Is TLC saying that they'll run their business according to a vote cast 30 years ago by children? What do you suppose those kids would have said if they'd been asked what sex astronauts and firefighters (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Actually Best-Lock produced yellow heads then switched to tan and brown heads. (...) Two or three days passed without this topic coming up? Holy Cow! -Mike Petrucelli (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Steve Bliss
(...) I dunno. I'm with you, actually. And I lean heavily toward the 'everyone should be yellow' end of things. But I think some people would raise a fuss if a 'black' character was released as a yellow minifig, because they don't see things the way (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on the (pre EpII) 2002 range —Aaron West
<SNIP> (...) <long SNIP> (...) I got tired of waiting for the Lando minifigure too, so I made my own. One yellow head Town guy with mustache, black male hairpiece, yellow hands, Sam Sanister torso, grey pants and a grey cloak make Rebel General (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars)
