  What's missing here?

OK, Lego Star Wars is a great idea, although I have a few questions... First, why two different R2 units and no Threepio? Why so few sets for Eps. IV and V, two total? -----No walkers, ST-AT/AT-AT? How come there's no horse/dragon like creature for (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What's missing here?

It is called "wave one". They have a contract with Lucas for at least two more years I believe, so I wouldn't doubt that over the next couple of years we will see some of the other ships. Maybe they're following the "save the best for last" (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What's missing here?

(...) Nah. It just means the marketers figured they would increase the appeal of the sets by using actual character-names, rather than 'generic rebel pilot'. Steve (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What's missing here?

(...) I'm with Steve . . . it's just a way to throw in a couple of characters so that kids have more guys to play with, without giving them the aforementioned name of 'generic rebel pilot'. (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What's missing here?

(...) Nope, it's defintely an R2 unit - look at it's shape and the LEGO Website. R4D5 is the red robot seen in SW:ANH being sold and then it broke down - it's a different design hence the R5 number Robot 5 Droid 4 if I remember. (...) AT-PT? I've (...)   Re: What's missing here?

(...) Although I have to agree that it is definitely an R2 unit, I really think it was Lego's attempt at making hte R4-D5 without having to create a whole new mini-fig. I don't remember the details of the movie well enough to really remember which (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)
