    Re: Ewok Holocaust —James Simpson
(...) Ah! A subject near and dear to my heart: I'm afraid that I'm going to have to play the tried-but-true "Lucas Plows Through a Self-Made Plot Conundrum Like a Bull in a China Shop" card. Lucas really got himself in it thick on that one. Not sure (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Ewok Holocaust —Dave Schuler
(...) Maybe the Death Star v2.0 exploded in the other direction, *away* from the moon. 8^) Dave! (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Ewok Holocaust —Sean Harrington
At least this Ewok didn't have to worry about it. This is a scan of the "missing" sticker sheet for the new AT-ST... (URL) Sean (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Holocaust link on Lugnet. Enough people found that amusing that I thought they'd see the humour in environmental disasters on Endor as well... eric (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Ewok Holocaust / Jedi Death —Sean Harrington
So, I guess laying Vader to rest on a funeral pyre on Endor was redundant... Luke - "Hey, Han! Got a match?" Han - "Yeah, my butt and your face." Luke - "Naaah, I mean so's I can get rid of my old man's corpse." Han - "Just use your robot hand. It's (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Ewok Holocaust / Jedi Death —James Simpson
(...) LOL! (...) (Warning: opinionated rant to follow): Yes and no...in retrospect, the Obi-Wan disappearance was a little bit corny, but, it was filmed in 1976, so it's kind of excusable (they could only do so much with technology.) This was, (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Ewok Holocaust —Frank Filz
(...) I'd challenge you to find much SF which you couldn't find gaping holes in. Star Wars is no worse than movies in general, and perhaps better. Note that the referenced article even points out that there is nothing in the Star Wars literature (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Ewok Holocaust —James Simpson
(...) I disagree with you. Chapter I. ANH was a marvelous epic. Sure, the plot was nothing innovative - basically a new version of the classic hero/redemption plot - but it was good nonetheless. It was even Art. II. Empire came along, and it had a (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Ewok Holocaust —Aaron West

        Re: Ewok Holocaust —Erik Olson
(...) Ooh, you got me going there. Lucas had a story, which he shared with Leigh Brackett over several days in late 1977. Brackett turned in a script on February 23, 1977, and succumbed to cancer shortly thereafter. Lucas worked up a second and a (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)
