Re: Pictures of Enfield Model Shop

(...) I didn't see anyone comment on it, but in the upper right corner of this picture ((URL) is the big Gungan 4-legged creature used against the AATs and the MTTs. Pretty neat. And it's not one huge piece! Also, if anyone knows what the yellow (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.starwars)

I seem to remember reading several books where characters said "That's wizard!" or something to that effect, indicating how cool/neat/awesome/etc something (...)   Re: So Wizard!

(...) For the record, the phrase "it's wizard!" was originally uttered several more times by Anakin and his friends. It was meant to be indicative of some kind of slang (the scene in which Anakin runs out of Watto's shop yelling "yippee!" originally (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lambda Class Shuttle

(...) <snip> I'm in complete agreement with you here. The model is way too wide! It looks chubby or something. The landing gear look pretty cool, and while the wings look cool if they did use glue to get the hinges to stay at that angle then that's (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Question on the Shuttle??

(...) Thanks Jay for the answer. I was hoping that I would learn a new trick to building from the answer, but I do not like to mix glue and Lego :( Thanks for the close-up pic as well! - Jim F. (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) page (...) It's a line from Episode I, where one of Anakin's friends comments on how he has R2-D2 helping him build his podracer. Or, was he commenting on having the podracer itself? I can't remember the scene exactly. When I first saw that (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  So Wizard!

I got a 1999 product brochure today that is different than the other ones I have. I think it might be older. The cover has the X-Wing being chased by Darth Vader instead of the big Sith Infiltrator it usually has. The front page says- "COMING SUMMER (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lambda Class Shuttle

I must admit, however, that the wings on the Enfield model are very clean, and seamless. And it looks like there's a retracting landing gear that actually supports the model. Mine works but collapses under the weight. Gee, maybe mine isn't so good. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lambda Class Shuttle

I think the Enfield model sucks...yes, yes, it has the prominent features of the Imperial Shuttle, but it looks over-the-hill and bloated. A Nerf Shuttle! Way out of proportion and completely lacking in the sleek grace of the model from the movie. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Question on the Shuttle??

Now that's disappointing. I just hate to see models created by using glue. I understand that they need to glue things to get them to stay together, but I object to the use of glue for making the model itself. :^( ~Mark (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 2001 SW line-up

(...) The following is speculation, but I bet I'm right... Because of the movie release/set release timing, the first batch of EP1 sets (let's see, that'd be Sith Infiltrator, Naboo Swamp, Light Sabre Duel, Gungan Sub, Naboo Starfighter, Droid (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)
