  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Let it be said that Bruce Lowell is a god among men when it comes to building SNOTy creatures. However, I really want to see his try at building a Floating Head. Now that is a test of skill. -Lenny (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) You know, that would have actually made more sense with the dinosaur-footed dewbacks from the original cut, than with the chicken-footed SE dewbacks. (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

I think you're all missing the point: that Dewbacks can be fitted with "Bantha-track-boots" for leaving obvious clues... jeremy:D (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Lucas has something of a reputation for running disinformation campaigns specifically to keep people guessing about what might be true and what might not. Also, the internet has something of a reputation for being clogged with hoaxes. It's (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) I would be perfectly happy if they are tossed into Ep3 as a "new" snub fighter (even though that's probably too early for them by EU history), or even if one gets spliced into Mos Eisley, but not if they get added to the X & Y-wings sent to (...)   Re: MOC: Dewback

Uber Cool Bruce. As a Dewback enthusiast, I must say that your work in the field is unparalelled. I consider you to be a true champion of of their cause;-) I really like it, I love all of the little detailing as well. My fave touch is the bedroll on (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) There have even been rumors that the ending of ROTJ has been altered to put a "younger" looking Anakin in place of the one we are so used to (during the "ghost" scene with Yoda, OB-1, and Anakin). A few pictures were floating around, but have (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) I totally agree with you, mr. Schuler, it would be lame. Indeed, íf the TIE/D is added to the Trilogy, it would be like you said; another example of art-as-slave-to-marketing... ...In case my theory proves to be wrong, we can still cherish (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Seems to me the indigenous form of transportation was speeders. I didn't see Luke, or anyone other than stormtroopers for that matter, driving a dewback around. If I was a stormtrooper I'd have commandeered something a bit more comfortable and (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Camel hair is not as long and is more reflective than the dark hair of the Banthas. (...) True - if the Banthas lived in a wooly mamoth habitat, it would be more tundra like than polar like. But I suppose the tundra can be arid to. I guess I (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) What about camels? Hair is protective against abrassion from sandstorms, from the extreme cold experienced at night or during the winter (though Tattooine, being a predominantly desert ecology, probably doesn't have much in the way of cold (...)   Re: Many Star Wars Minis and More!

Thank you for the praise, Count Mike! :) And I'm glad you recognized me. ;) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

Very well done, Bruce! It's great to see some more creations from you! And I am sure I speak for many people when I say that no one makes that great creatures as you. It's espicially nice, as LEGO's own Dewback has somewhat wrong dimensions and (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) I'm going to get my nerd on for a second (hey, I just got back from Comic-Con, so I've got SW on the brain!)... Playing Star Wars Galaxies, there are two benefits of the Dewbacks versus speeders: 1. Hostile creatures can't flat out and quickly (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Well, for a possible in-story explanation, if they didn't have a regular garrison there (and it's implied that they didn't), they might have had the same trouble adjusting their speeders and such to desert conditions as the Rebels did (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Dewbacks being local is more logical than Banthas. After all, lizards are good at adapting to desert conditions. Hairy animals not so good. (...) Indead - they are as big as an elephant, with no savannah grasses or trees to snack on to keep up (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) And were the Dewbacks local or did they bring their own? It would seem unlikely that the All Powerfull Empire would have to scrounge up local transport, but on the other hand a Star Destroyer doesn't seem to be an ideal environment for the (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Why not add some prominent Trade Federation Battleships to the EPVI fleet at Endor, while we're at it? And some AT-TE's to the Hoth landing? The trench run is fine as it stands, ship-wise. They can tweak the maneuvers, but the addition of new (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)
