  Re: Lando minifig picutre HERE

(...) Excellent idea (I wish they had done this, in fact), but I don't think the problem really revealed itself until people started begging for a "black" Lando fig. Luke and most of the main characters had already been released by then, so there (...) (21 years ago, 11-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) My understanding is that this is not so much a tradition, as it is a necessity. LD does not have the budget or the authority to commission new molds. <snip> (...) Not nearly as annoying as not releasing it at all, which is what probably (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Brickfest 2003 Question and Answer

(...) Enough to make it worth while creating a set like this... I guess? (...) Which is why I wondered if adult builders would want it. Perhaps it's aimed more directly at pure Star Wars fans than previous sets from this series? Contrasted with the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Lando minifig picutre HERE

(...) About three years ago it was revealed that all Minifigs speak Spanish. ("Re: Who's feelin the black pack") (URL) also suggested we have a separate newsgroup just for this issue! (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lando minifig picutre HERE

(...) The NBA situation is easy to figure out on the fact that they include not only the first black minifigs, but also the first white ones. If people complained that there weren't any black minifigs in the regular sets, you could finally point to (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Soo... I guess it is now the turn for us "white skin folk" to start complaining and b*tching about there not being any 'realistic' white humans in any sets? Oh and we aint white, we are just humans, me think -the evil twin of /\/\arkassius But (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lando minifig picutre HERE

(...) Brad spoke to this at the BrickFest Q&A session. The NBA minifigures depict actual people. For the most realistic effect, they were made with dark or light skin colors, just like the real people they are modeled after. Generic (yellow) (...)   Re: Lando minifig picutre HERE

(...) make a "black" minifig is precedent setting, and would also mean that every yellow minifig is white, IMO. I was always under the impression that minifigs were colorblind, so to speak. I know this discussion has been had before either in .Space (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Doh. That should have been "Mini-fig humans." (...) Too many flame pieces on your mind? -Mike Petrucelli (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.fun)

<SNIPPED for focus> (...) LEGO humans??? I thought that was us! *Confused* *ABS neural pathways* *begining* *to* *melt... -Aaron- #279 On my way to 400K (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.fun)

  Kit Fisto Miniland Figure

Who’s got style and a winning smile? He’s green, they've said, with things on his head. He’s the Jedi Knight always up for a fight. (Ok, I'll stop rhyming now.) He’s Kit Fisto!   Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Says no retail, yet, but I wonder if it will be at the LEGO Imagination store in Disneyland??? Anybody know the answer to this? Tim? Brad?? If so, I will wait so I can use my wife's big fat park employee discount (She's Beauty, doncha know!!) (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) I bet the answer lies in the fact that this is a LEGO Direct set and not a normal LEGO release. Because of that they can 'ignore' the whole issue of established policy. That is my guess anyway. Personally I belive that if they were going to (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) I hope Mr. Billy D. Williams had a say on what he'd look like in Lego. It would be cool if he made the final decision. Dear Lego, how DID you decide on the minifig color issue? We've debated it for a long time here on Lugnet & I'd be (...) (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) I'm at BrickFest and have seen this set in person. It is 100% the opposite of juniorized - everything is made of smaller parts - after all, the set has hundreds of pieces! Roy (21 years ago, 10-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Billy Dee may not have been yellow, but neither were Harrison, Carrie, Mark, Sir Alec, Natalie, Liam, Ewan....I'm sure they would've "looked swell" in realistic skin tones as well. And since the basketball "opened the door" as you say, are the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Yes! Lando!! Looking just swell in his realistic skin tone. I was hoping the basketball sets would open the door for that. I know the yellow-headed argument of "any-race" for "any Lego person" is true enough in most cases, but dangit, Billy (...) (21 years ago, 9-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 10123 Cloud City

(...) Huh. I'd heard that Leia would be sporting a brand-new hairpiece, but that looks like she's just got mommy's hair (from Anakin's Podracer & Mos Espa Podrace). It certainly fits within the LD tradition of always using existing pieces for new LD (...) (21 years ago, 9-Aug-03, to lugnet.starwars)
