Re: Slighty OT: Got the Novel!

(...) I'd long since planned for a vacation day today so I could read it as soon as it hit the stores. Finished about an hour ago. I'm pumped! John #388 (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  New Star Wars Video

Sorry to post so many times today, but it has been a wonderful day for Star Wars. The new "Love Across the Stars" music video has come out. I watched it for the first time on starwars.com (you have to be a online member to veiw any of the videos (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Ep2 sets at Meijer

Episode 2 sets have been spotted by Imperial reconnisance forces at a local Meijer here in Michigan, at 8 mile and Haggerty. Rebulic Gunship is there! Though the cheapness of the Imperial Army did not allow the scouts to bring back samples. --Kai (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  New sets at Walmart

My Walmart had all of the new sets today when I was there, including a couple of the Republic Gunships. I haven't been able to afford to buy anything yet, but looking at all of the new Episode II sets was cool. I live in western Oregon. Sincerely, (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Slighty OT: Got the Novel!

Just writing to advise that my copy of the Episode II novelisation turned up today from Amazon.co.uk. Tempted to call in sick tomorrow so I can indulge myself in some reading - but that would be naughty...wouldn't it? Regards, Andrew. (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

"Magnus Lauglo" <thunder_road@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:Gv0xps.1A8@lugnet.com... (...) Incidently, (...) There is a flap at the front of the cockpit, when you lift it the front half of the ship splits in 2 (the sides move apart, they're (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode II Products at Shop At Home

I have very little idea what's going to be in this movie since I'm in Star Wars blackout until the movie (so that I'll enjoy it more) but I looked at the pictures of the new sets. Is that the taxi from the Fifth Element in the upper right of this (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode II Lego in UK

(...) I saw some of the new sets in a toyshop today but didn't buy any. The big gunship look really awesome, and it seems that the top part detaches while the bottom half turns into some kind of a command base thing. Not sure if this also "happens" (...)   Episode II Lego in UK

I've just been into Toys'R'Us in Southampton, and they've got all the Episode II models now. Yoda, Tusken Raiders, new Slave I, Gunship, Jango Fett and the Super Battle Droid (they've had Starfighters for a while now). They've also got a pile of (...)   Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

I got Wally World about 11:45 and there were about 10 guys impatiently waiting for the balck plastic to come down. Luckily I was the only LEGO buyer, and all the other dudes just looked at me like I was invading their territory! (...) I had a hard (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

Lindsay & All, (...) So me too! ; ) I actually went with two friends here in South Bend to the Mishawaka Super Wal-Mart this time around. My friend Tony and I went to TRU for Episode 1, and it was fun. This time we arrived about 11:40PM or so, and (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

I just got back from TRU. I had a great time. Waited about 4 hours in line outside talking to some people more or less just for the fun of it. The TRU I was at in Tulsa is I think the only store that opened at midnite in the state. For episode 1 I (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) Sifting through old .starwars posts, found this: (URL) the one you talking about? Some of those are pretty clever... I still remember putting together my 7130.   Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) That's funny, my six year old cried before Christmas because it seems Santa forgot to bring him a Snowspeeder the Christmas before that. (Santa didn't see it on sale anywhere and figured another SW set would do. Wrong!) Of course it was (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) I suspect it was particularly popular with people buying LEGO for kids. It was effectively a cheap substitute for the relatively expensive X Wing set, but still contained Luke, a lightsabre, other figs, a cool 'ship' etc. A couple of times (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) It truly is, without exception, the best medium size set in the SW line. It's very movie-accurate with the exception of the pilots not sitting directly back-to-back like in ESB, but TLC still manages to make it look great. There is the second (...)
