  Episode II Lego in UK

I've just been into Toys'R'Us in Southampton, and they've got all the Episode II models now. Yoda, Tusken Raiders, new Slave I, Gunship, Jango Fett and the Super Battle Droid (they've had Starfighters for a while now). They've also got a pile of (...)   Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

I got Wally World about 11:45 and there were about 10 guys impatiently waiting for the balck plastic to come down. Luckily I was the only LEGO buyer, and all the other dudes just looked at me like I was invading their territory! (...) I had a hard (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

Lindsay & All, (...) So me too! ; ) I actually went with two friends here in South Bend to the Mishawaka Super Wal-Mart this time around. My friend Tony and I went to TRU for Episode 1, and it was fun. This time we arrived about 11:40PM or so, and (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who's doing the TRU Midnight Run?

I just got back from TRU. I had a great time. Waited about 4 hours in line outside talking to some people more or less just for the fun of it. The TRU I was at in Tulsa is I think the only store that opened at midnite in the state. For episode 1 I (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) Sifting through old .starwars posts, found this: (URL) the one you talking about? Some of those are pretty clever... I still remember putting together my 7130. It was my favourite Starwars set until I got a 7140 X-wing a couple months later (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

I want a Super Battle Droid, so me. LFB (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) That's funny, my six year old cried before Christmas because it seems Santa forgot to bring him a Snowspeeder the Christmas before that. (Santa didn't see it on sale anywhere and figured another SW set would do. Wrong!) Of course it was (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) I suspect it was particularly popular with people buying LEGO for kids. It was effectively a cheap substitute for the relatively expensive X Wing set, but still contained Luke, a lightsabre, other figs, a cool 'ship' etc. A couple of times (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) It truly is, without exception, the best medium size set in the SW line. It's very movie-accurate with the exception of the pilots not sitting directly back-to-back like in ESB, but TLC still manages to make it look great. There is the second (...)   Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) I have a 7130, and it's among one of the few sets I've kept in one piece. Perhaps it's just the notion that it's star wars, and it has an excellent design, that I kept the original model still built in the box. I still proudly display it on my (...)   Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) For me, it's simple. It *looks* like what it's supposed to look like. The design and coloring are excellent. The use of traditional parts and specialty parts is well balanced. Oh, and did I mention that it *looks* like a snowspeeder? :) Nice (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

"John R. Beck" <jbeck@naturecenter.org> wrote in message news:GuzAEs.AyI@lugnet.com... (...) Shame, it's a nice set.   Re: 30562 Panel 4 x 4 x 6 Quarter Circle?

Re: Question about building an AT-AT

<<snip>> (...) One thought I've had is to have a Technic 9V motor with a cross axle connector to spin the wormgears. Just attach the motor, power it up 'til the joint is in place, detach the motor and work on the next joint... /Tobbe (URL) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

X-post: lugnet.build.mecha <<snip>> (...) I second that, my 1m+ Mecha has wormgear joints in the feet, knees, hips & neck and I had no gear rip what so ever. (...) 6 bricks tall, 7.2 studs tall, 57.6mm With 4 together, you get a cylinder that measuers 8 studs by 8 studs on the bottom and 6 bricks tall. DaveE (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Question about building an AT-AT
