  Re: I'm back...

(...) Oh, I got it to work. It's extremely difficult to catch the cube face you want and double click it though. Some nice LCAD models hidden in there. Ignored the rude looking inks at the bottom. Oh yeah, and the page crashed my browser. Oh, and (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.publish.html)

  Re: UCS T.I.E. Fighter

(...) No, that's just how it is in that book... which the artist could have done because he isn't as anal about laser colors as a rabid fan might be. In any case... this photo from the movie doesn't show any kind of colored tips on the laser (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS T.I.E. Fighter

(...) Yes the lasers are green but the star wars incredible cross-sections show that the tip is red. so a RED tip shoots a GREEN laser. I don't understand it but that is how it is in the trilogy. Kevin (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS T.I.E. Fighter

(...) *ahem* T.I.E. Fighters have GREEN LASERS!!!!! Having said that, it looks pretty darn good. I'd like to see some UCS versions of the other T.I.E. models. Unfortunately, I don't own a 7181 of my own. :^( Nice work! ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  UCS T.I.E. Fighter

What do you get when you take the solar panels off of the 7181 T.I.E. Interceptor™ and replace them with regular T.I.E. fighter panels? A really big T.I.E. fighter that required lots of black plates to make. Pictures can be found at (URL) panels (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Episode II Ship Modelled

(...) There is new cg fan art up at theforce.net which shows a good, hopefully acurate full color side view. See it here: (URL) it helps. Jonathan (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Episode II Ship Modelled

(...) Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to be building a second model either today or this weekend and I'll be sure to incorporate the bottom detail. I built the model IRL (in the incorrect colors, I don't have any red wings or red 3x3 round corner (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS Tie, some questions

(...) interceptor (X-wing novels, EGtTVV, SW Technical Journal, Behind The Magic CD, all the SW games) says it has four cannons. Although many fans consider games as not "canon" references, I value them as much as other official references since (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode II ships! Anyone want to try modelling?

(...) For the record, the Episode II Select photos don't ever 'go away' as in become unavailable; they get archived. But I think the current one always has the same URL, so old ones 'go away' to another page. eric (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode II ships! Anyone want to try modelling?

(...) Actually I just found it here: (URL) hard to make out the detail but it looks like the front end is more sloped than is apparent in the larger rear image. The two engines look like they can be cobbled together out of wheels and cylinders. (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode II ships! Anyone want to try modelling?

(...) If you can get me a good pic of the front of the craft I'll model it ;) The SW select pic isnt' there anymore :( Greetz, Jay (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Episode II Ship Modelled

(...) That's cool and a great start. (Spoilers below) ---...--- I'm anxious to see your real model and your solution to the droid problem. For Anakin's speeder, I think one way to start would be to use the car seat piece (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS Tie, some questions

(...) Unfortunately, it's a fan reference, and their main evidence seems to be "because they look like laser cannons" All the documentation I've ever seen indicates the TIE Interceptor has four laser cannons. Does anyone have any official (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS Tie, some questions

(...) Look at this: (URL) text denotes this photo as "10 cannon model used in Endor scenes" but I clearly remember that "Essential Guide to The Vessels" book denoted only the appendages on wing tips as cannons, and others as range finders, (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.starwars)
