My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Shawn Davis
Hello All, I called this MOC “Dual Pilot Fighter Plane”. I should probably work harder on naming my creations. This is the first model I have posted on the internet, so be nice to me :) There are 50 studs nose to tail, 32 studs at its widest point, (...)         Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Kirby Warden
Well, I think the name says it all myself. Although the pics are very yellowed, I could make out enough to say that I'm not particularly impressed with your moc. It really depends on what you were going for, unfortuantely you didn't give enough (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Shawn Davis
(...) I have a cheap digital camra and have not figgured out how to get a pic without the yellowing. I was thinking about trying to take the pics outside on the next one. (...) Does my motivation change the quality or look of the model? (...) I'm (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Kirby Warden
(...) heh, seems that a lot of folks have that problem, i have some photos waiting to be converted to disk, but they're horribly dark and grainy (yet focused well oddly enough) so I'm holding back on them. (...) well, that depends, did you just want (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

(...) <snip> Lighting, that is the source of the problem. Even with my Kodak Camera that has a flash, I face the same issue. You may also want to put in back lighting too so you won't end up with too many shadows. Jude FUT lugnet.publish.photography (...)          Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Shawn Davis
(...) It's cool that you didn't like it, and buy all means fell free to say so. I was just trying to "get" where you were coming from. Shawn (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Chris Giddens
(...) I like the canopies sitting way back in the ship... although I bet it's a booger to land sitting that far back. Nice job, keep posting! Chris <>< (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Joel Jacobsen
(...) There's a nice array of weaponry and I like the side by side cockpits, especially. The silhouette is very good, too. Nice and narrow from the side and the front. I would have to think it would be quite difficult to visually spot in space, (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Shawn Davis
(...) Damn, I better skip the next SeaLug meeting and avoid being chastised in person :) The stands are just for display (maybe that will save me). Shawn (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Landing Gear (was: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted)) —Steve Bliss
(...) At the first MichLUG meeting, there was a ship with a very cool, but simple design for landing gear. Here are some picture links: (3 URLs) Unfortunately, they're all detail shots, and the ship is upside down. The basic idea is to put together (...)       Steve & All, (...) Hey, I took those pictures! ; ) I wish I would have gotten more! Scott was having too much fun to worry about pictures! : ) (...) That ship is Mark Koesel's creation, an M-Tron MOC, which I loved to death. I took the picture of (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

(...) You took the first two. Trevor took the third. Or at least, that's what the MichLUG site tells me. (...) Thank you, Scott! I totally couldn't remember. My bad. (...) Doh! I had forgotten that part! Steve (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Landing Gear (was: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted)) —Mark Sandlin
(...) <snip> Yes, those are quite nice. I used the same parts for the 'gear on my Space Police Viper. I do like the ones in the pictures, however, because they use the parts in two directions, which would give the ship a bit more stability than just (...)          Re: Landing Gear (was: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted)) —Steve Bliss
(...) One thing that's not apparent from the pictures is that the hinge arrangement locks the landing gear from rotating -- it can only extend and retract. Which is not something you'd notice from just looking at it; you have to play with it to tell (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Jeromy Irvine
(...) Shawn, I like your model. It looks like it has an impressive array of weaponry, and I especially like the dual cockpit design. The landing gear looks OK, but I think the overall effect is better without it. (Then again, you'd retract it while (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Shawn Davis
(...) My thoughts on that is since it is not a long range space craft or entering any atmosphere, there was no need for large engines. So on the undercarriage of the wings are black strips that are the thrusters, with the power generating part built (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Very sleek. The colour scheme looks a bit like a "dazzle pattern" (as used on German Battleships in WW2), especially from the side, which is pretty neat. I don't ever remember seeing a twin canopy ship before..., it looks great! The only thing (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)

Re: My MOC Fighter Plane (first posted) —David Simmons
Very cool! I like how you captured the "battered and used" appearance of SW vehicles (if you weren't trying to do that, good job, anyway!). I've always liked two-seaters, it's nice to think you'll have someone to talk to on those long patrols. Dave (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.sealug)
