A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
I've been lurking around lugnet (and especially .space) for quite some time now, and I think I better delurk and introduce myself. My name is Joel Larsson, and I live in Sweden. I have the curious and absurd obsession I assume you are all pretty (...) (20 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Peter Roberts
(...) You've put together some solid models. I have to say how much I like the first one in paticular. The SNOT is very good, no, cut that, it boggles the mind. It's hard to work out where one angle stops and another starts. The slopes blend in in a (...) (20 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
(...) Thanks! Surprised you liked the SNOT on Siberia, it was nothing special, except the cockpit, which was pretty hard to get together.. The interior and internal structure is (mostly) at an 22.5 degree angle to the ship, but the hull on the (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

        Cool stuff, Joel! —David Simmons
The Siberia is a wealth and wonder of SNOT work. I echo Peter's comments that it's difficult to tell how and where pieces come together. There's some very clever layering and detailing. I especially like how you added another 1x8 plate on the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Cool stuff, Joel! —Joel Larsson
(...) Thanks for the comments! The SNOT on Siberia just came together from the engine and forward, though it was a little tricky with the internal structure, but that worked out well in the end. The hull's SNOT was pretty fun to do but totally (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Cool stuff, Joel! —David Simmons
(...) the (...) I (...) well.. (...) You can never blast too much light at the model, that's for sure! Just keep them a good distance away or the heat will make the plastic start to buckle and bend! Pure sunshine is always the best if you can swing (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Daniel Rubin
(...) Hey, I saw these on brickshelf the other day. I must say, I think the Siberia is pretty awesome, I think you came up with a pretty cool and unconventional shape there. At first glance, I thought the little robot was some sort of cannon that (...) (20 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
(...) Thanks for the comments. That little bot was an afterthought, but I like it. I think I will take some separate photos of it. About the Endeavour, I would have liked it to be at a larger scale, but my tiny LEGO collection said no. And I (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Tony Hafner
(...) Welcome to .space! (...) there any functions in the model? Opening cockpit/doors, landing gear, etc? More (and closer/larger) pics would be nice. I want to see the nose better. (...) result. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (20 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
(...) Sorry Tony, no functions on either one (oh yeah, the ventral turret on the Endeavour is rotatable, but that's really no function..) Both of them started without any exact plans, so they i didn't make place for funciotn. But it would be (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Paul Baulch
(...) Wow, what a great idea for a ship! Well done. I'd like to see more of them. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (20 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Erik Schroer
Nice models, Joel! The Siberia is an incredible assemblance of SNOT with just the right amount of greebling. However, I disagree with your assessment of this craft being Pre-PCS or Pre-Pre-Classic Space in that it looks more advanced. It also took (...) (20 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
(...) The idea of a pre-pre classic space was just a last resort to have something to write on about it at all. It wasn't meant to be of any specific era or have any specific purpose when I built it - I just threw together some bricks. The two long (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Niels Bugge
Hi Joel, welcome out of the shadow and into the sunny part of space! I’ve only got time to look at the Siberia, as I’m about to leave town for the weekend, but I think you have some good snot going on there. I’ve only got two complaints: First, I (...)         Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Joel Larsson
(...) Thanks for the comments Yeah I know about the cockpit, but i couldn't find a good way to connect it at a straighter angle. But the parts just fell into place and this was the result. I am innocent =) But as I said to Tony, I am thinking about (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs —Niels Bugge
(...) You can reduce the width of the cockpit by using plates on the sides instead of an extra layer of bricks outside the 4-wide windscreen. I think the angle is fine, but it must be possible to take some of the bottom (and drooping) off? BTW I (...) (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)
