Hi Joel,
Thanks for the reply and the comments! I am not a huge Start Trek fan either,
but I like the design of a couple of the ships from those series.
Per the blue color, it just betrays the fact that I had always liked the classic
blue from the original space sets from Lego. It always seemed to go real well
against the light gray. Some of the pics may suffer a bit because the flash
tends to make the blue a little "bluer" than it really is.
At this point I don't have plans to tear this one down and start another. It
took so long to build, I just don't have the time (or room) to commit to
building a new one. I still haven't gotten tired if it yet, either. Right now
my hobby is building smaller custom space sets for sale via Bricklink. I don't
know my link perfectly but search for "The Brickee Mart" or check the Lugnet
Buy/Sell postings as I have the links in my posts there.
