Where do you get all of that lego? Where/How do most of you guys get that
much lego? I am new to the Lugnet seen, If my questions seem funny to you

Hi Bill, here is how I get most of my Lego:
1. Go to stores that sell Lego, looking for specials and clearance items.
2. Check my .loc.* group on LUGNET, where people will mention what specials
are where. 3. Buy sets on special if they have some parts I want.
4. Go to a Lego meeting, and offer my set for partsies - this is where we
divide up the set into lots that each of us want, then whoever paid for the set
gets reimbursed for whatever portion of the parts each person takes. 5.
Browse Bricklink a lot, looking for parts I want in
amounts I can most afford.
If you do this for a couple of years and spend a few thousand dollars, you will
end up with a lot of Lego :-) If you dont go to meetings, you could re-coup
your costs by opening a Bricklink shop and selling
what you think you wont need. I know a lot of people who do both.
Also, it pays to build lots of small stuff while youre collecting, as building
will help you figure out what parts youll always need a lot of. For instance,
Ive found that I go through a LOT of headlight bricks (as many of us do!).
Hope that helps,
