Attention space-citizens, Our forces searching the galaxy, planet by planet, for the long lost GA. Our moonbases are seeing increased 3vil activity, and there's rising tension on the borders with the EB and the JE. PCS and the Star Rangers are (...)      (...) Oh DROOOL. Just a big buncha wow happening here! Some may harp on the old 'too boxy' thing, but I think it works here. And best of all, it just screams 'take the day off work and pitch galactic battles on the dining room carpet'. Dude. (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris Giddens
(...) Boxy on purpose btw. :-) Not forgetting the Classic Space in PCS, this is a prelude to classic space bases like: [LEGOSet 483] and [LEGOSet 6970] and [LEGOSet 4931] Man, those old sets were SO fun. *sigh* ~^- (URL) ~^- Admiral Giddens <>< (...)         Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Wayne McCaul
I'm a huge fan of retro-future and I really dig the PCS and Star Ranger stuff (and Hoffman's Eastern Bloc). It's totally groovy man. That's one groovy command pod. Awesome how it's angled and not a traditional straightforward cockpit. Perfect for (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Philip Painter
Wow. The modular construction and function is so great—a ship that could be played with for hours. And the amount of detail looks really good. With grey being introduced to the PCS scheme, are we nearing the dawn of a new era? This is beautiful and (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris Giddens
(...) Ya, Modularity is something PCS has been needing to incorporate. I'm hopin' to do more in some upcoming smaller ships. But there's a biggun' in the works that's takin up my time now. (...) The Blue and Grey are Star Ranger colors for now... (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Ley Ward
Wow, Admiral Giddens, this thing is awesome. I like all the details that have been pointed out so far. I really like the tailfin and its echo on the pilot pod: very 'Roman-Art-Deco'. It's like a vestige of a sleeker design before someone said "oh. (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris Giddens
(...) The goal was to so "Industrial Deco" I just love the swoopy 50's stuff and trying to merge it with greebly chunky has been interesin'. I do with I had the tiles to smooth it though...          Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Ley Ward
(...) Mission accomplished! (...) Gotta love those (URL) swoopy '50s!> I think the studs work on this, and I think that's the point about the whole studs vs. studless dilemma. It's important to look at the design as a whole; the way studs are (...) (20 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Ryan Wood
So much playability! I am really impressed. The beauty of this thing brings me close to tears. I want so bad to play with it. To point the FREEM and make tseeeew tsseeeeew BOOM noises.         Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris McNamee
Holy cow! That is the coolest dropship I've ever seen! My favorite part is the humongous freem cannon laser thingy. Wouldn't want to be at the receiving end. How many troops does it hold total? I also think it would be cool if you could outfit to (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Fred Trayers
Chris- This is yet another beautiful creation. The intricacies of the design are functional and elegant. I'm a huge fan of "modular" vehicles, and clearly, there are a multitude of opportunities available for this one. The greebling is (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris Giddens
(...) Thanks. I had done an angled cockpit with the smaller paradisa domes, but not one with the big uns. Very fun to do. (...) Ya, that and a number on the side of the command base.         Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Paul Baulch

Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Chris Giddens

(...) Very sweet. Like Wayne said, I can just imagine all the parts whirring about, charging up. It's got that perfect mix of realism and cartoonosity (1).         Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Adrian Drake
Nifty! The giant cannon on top looks a little incongruous, but the overall color scheme and shape really evokes the classic space design mentality.         Re: PCS Troopers are GO! —Jordan Bradford
I dunno . . . don't you think that shade of gray is kind of dull and boring? Something a little brighter would be better.
