Attention space-citizens,
Our forces searching the galaxy, planet by planet, for the long lost GA. Our moonbases are seeing increased 3vil activity, and there’s rising tension on the borders with the EB and the JE. PCS and the Star Rangers are answering the need to be mobile with maximum fire power with the introduction of the PTL-701 PCS Trooper Lander System and PCS Troopers.

The system is 3 fold. First the Pilot Pod (P’s) that is moonbase compatable:

Then the Carrier Unit Engine section (CUEs):

and finally the Mobile Command Base (MCB)

The craft can maintain long warp jumps and can travel in long range convoys. But, it’s main use is to quickly drop troops in a battle situation or harsh environment and cooridate ground operations. The CUE unit can provide a heavy bombardment of an LZ or give cover to troops from orbit using it’s FREEM blaster: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/legoober/PTL/ptl004.jpg

These craft are operated by Star Ranger support teams and pilots. Docking with the MCB is achieved by 8 MagnaLocks™. Watch your P’s and Cue’s as they connect via moonbase connectors.

Troopers wear high density Reflecto Armor and are armed with various Freem and Frap cannons.

Again, please report any thoughts about the new system and ideas for it’s future.

Time to give it back to 3vil where they live... or we’ll see more of this:

in every neighborhood in Legoland.

Dang it... sorry fellas, (URL) forgot to put it in announce and forgot to put the directory in it. I should never post after midnight. ~^- (URL) ~^- Admiral Giddens <>< (URL) space. ~^- (URL) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

(...) Oh DROOOL. Just a big buncha wow happening here! Some may harp on the old 'too boxy' thing, but I think it works here. And best of all, it just screams 'take the day off work and pitch galactic battles on the dining room carpet'. Dude. (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I'm a huge fan of retro-future and I really dig the PCS and Star Ranger stuff (and Hoffman's Eastern Bloc). It's totally groovy man. That's one groovy command pod. Awesome how it's angled and not a traditional straightforward cockpit. Perfect for (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

Wow. The modular construction and function is so great—a ship that could be played with for hours. And the amount of detail looks really good. With grey being introduced to the PCS scheme, are we nearing the dawn of a new era? This is beautiful and (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Wow, Admiral Giddens, this thing is awesome. I like all the details that have been pointed out so far. I really like the tailfin and its echo on the pilot pod: very 'Roman-Art-Deco'. It's like a vestige of a sleeker design before someone said "oh. (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

So much playability! I am really impressed. The beauty of this thing brings me close to tears. I want so bad to play with it. To point the FREEM and make tseeeew tsseeeeew BOOM noises. To drop the command base and unload PCS Troops on my little (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

Holy cow! That is the coolest dropship I've ever seen! My favorite part is the humongous freem cannon laser thingy. Wouldn't want to be at the receiving end. How many troops does it hold total? I also think it would be cool if you could outfit to (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Chris- This is yet another beautiful creation. The intricacies of the design are functional and elegant. I'm a huge fan of "modular" vehicles, and clearly, there are a multitude of opportunities available for this one. The greebling is (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

(...) Admiral Giddens, How do you do it sir? What does it take for a PCS associate to take action such as myself? A post from yourself perhaps. Or maybe just the realization that time is slipping by and space-time continuum is not reversible. I (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

(...) Very, very nice. Colour scheme could have done with highlights of a third colour from an aesthetic point of view, but I guess there may be more important considerations colour-wise... and I can't fault the functionality which is awesome. Nice (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

THis is really cool, I like the color scheme, and the "combat ready" feel of the creation as a whole. I love this stuff! Keep it coming! Jon (21 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

(...) Hmm... Nice job! The huge FREEM blaster seemed to look too large and chunky but after looking at it for a while I learned to love it. Anyways I like the playability here that’s really cool! my only complaint is that the PCS troopers make my (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

(...) Very sweet. Like Wayne said, I can just imagine all the parts whirring about, charging up. It's got that perfect mix of realism and cartoonosity (1). On the litte side boosters, there should be a thruster pointing up as well, IMO. The forces (...) (21 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) SAH! 'bout friggin' time you posted something new, ADMIRAL SAH! I'm in two minds with this one. One mind is saying 'ooo, cool. I could never build anything like that', whereas the other one is saying 'I kinda prefer the old white ones.' The (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Nifty! The giant cannon on top looks a little incongruous, but the overall color scheme and shape really evokes the classic space design mentality. All blue, with grey details, and that wonderful boxy shape. In the case of a dropship like this, the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

I dunno . . . don't you think that shade of gray is kind of dull and boring? Something a little brighter would be better. It's a good thing LEGO is making new pieces. < /sarcasm> That is a fantastic ship. I really like how the thing is modularized. (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
