Jason,

That’s brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I’m especially impressed with how “tight” the angles look on the back hull and the triangular middle sections--they just seem so effort- less, yet I have no doubt getting them satisfactorily stable was maddening.

Thanks! You’re absolutely right. To be honest it was absolutely ridiculous how much time I spent trying to get things just right on the reactor. The spine sections are a whole other story. The initial design for them was one of the first things I did and I carried it through pretty much to the end (obliviously happy with them for probably a year). And then, just after getting the last bricklink order to finish them I’m looking at the pretty much complete ship and thinking, ‘you know what, I really don’t like them that way’. Aaaagghhhh! New bricklink orders were needed, the stand had to be rebuilt because the spacing between the sections changed as well. It’s pretty humorous looking back at it.

Those pods are extremely cute, however. Sorry, they just are.

Yeah, I have to agree.

Really, this is a wonderful piece of work; will we see it in person at BrickFest?

You bet!

   all best

LFB

Thanks,

J
