EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Leonard Hoffman
Step aside, kiddies, the BLOCK is BACK! (2 URLs) With the growing threat of 3vil, Dr.Terrible, the 3GA, and Space Hippies, the Jr.Marshalate recognized the need for a reasonably cheap, easy to produce a shuttle with long range capabilities and (...)         Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Jean-Pascal Rignault
I like this one! Recently I build a boxy kind of space ship front head looking very similar to yours, but had a huge lack of inspiration for the body / engines. Hmmmm it looks a little bit like a shoe-box-with-a-dart...-and-fins. I guess somewhere (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Paul Baulch
(...) Nice work Lenny. I'm not a fan of the space wheels as nozzles, but the fins and angle plates give the engine a great look. The placement of the guns on the wing pylons plays with my brain, though - I would have preferred them being placed (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Hey Paul, Space wheels as nozzles, I assume you mean the engines? Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of them either, but they fit the general shape and size well. For something this size I want to make sure the engines are big enough. My next ship (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Gil Shaw
(...) Good stuff Lenny! I think the design of the bridge is perfect for the EB theme...very angular and emminently 'practical'...and the permanent frown of the front viewport is sufficiently menacing. The underside use of SNOT greebling is excellent (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Thank you. I'm actually getting tired of doing all the greebling - to a certain degree it is getting boring, and i really like the greebling using just tiles, like alternating between grills and tiles, etc. Also, i'm trying to conserve for my (...)         Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Ley Ward
(...) Got EBKD! (say it fast with a miniscule pause before the KD part;-) (...) Ah, yes, the ever-insidious threat of peace. I do think those 'wings' are just calling out for some decorative 'painting' on their vast monochromatic expanse... but that (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Ryan Wood
(...) I like it! The bridge and engine portions are quite perfect. Definitely Blockish. To be honest I'm not feeling the giant fins. It's no fault of your building or the colors you used, I just feel they look wrong somehow. It's not the stair-like (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —James Wilson
Lenny, I really like this one. Contrary to others' posts, I think the thick, sawtooth-edged fins work with the design. To me, it brings back memories of way-overbuilt Soviet aircraft. Like the designers discovered the fins weren't strong enough, so (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Thank you! (...) Actually, those are the four nuclear-tipped torpedos. I've been experimenting with non-traditional approaches to torpedos, and thought the proper Eastern Block approach would be to slap the missiles right onto the outside of (...)         Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle —Keith Goldman
I don't usually like to endorse the work of a Commy-pinko nation, but since your stated mission involves the destruction of the disease-spreading, parasite space-hippies...I'll make an exception. This is nice work as usual Lenny, one of the things I (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (HACK SLASH BURN PILLAGE SNIP) Cool. I could name the stuff I like, but everyone else has covered most of that. What I like best about this model is the depth of the design: every weird choice you made makes absolute sense :). I really dig the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
